UNEXPECTEDLY PASSED THE ROAD TEST AND I NOW HAVE MY LICENSE. NOW WHAT?

Lift filming is now possible outside of Clinton Township!

While I wasn’t expecting to get my driver’s license yesterday (1/64 chance), I was still able to get my driver’s license anyway because I HAVE PASSED THE ROAD TEST!! Here is what is now possible with my probationary driver’s license:

  • Infinitely extending the radius for within I can film lifts
  • Going to Chicago SOLO
  • Going to Los Angeles solo (I can rent some hotel rooms at 18 which makes overnight solo road trips now possible)
  • Going to Chattanooga and Charlotte SOLO (My wish)
  • Unlimited lift filming trips to Secaucus, Union Township & even ATLANTIC CITY!!!!!!
  • A slew lot more

What is expected from now until Spring Break?

March 9 or 10 are my ONLY set lift filming days until Spring Break outside of Clinton Township. However, more weekends will be open depending on how many tests and/or projects I have each of the 6 weeks remaining until Spring Break, along with the level of expected rigor of each test (measured on a scale of 1 through 17). If the dice are improperly rolled & I am plagued with tons of homework, tests & projects in addition to my final exam study schedule which FORMALLY BEGINS ON APRIL 1ST AT 7:30 PM, you can expect me not to film ANY LIFTS from now until Spring Break, even inside of ANNANDALE (My town of residence within Clinton Township)!

What you SHOULD EXPECT for Spring Break

While I am 100% NOT looking forward to any non-solo trips outside of Clinton Township (Especially after the A.C. trip back in August 2018), here is what to expect for spring break in terms of which cities are the most probable:

You can expect most probably a trip to somewhere in Florida this Spring Break, with other possible options being somewhere in California, connecticut, or overseas (first time). As for the length of the trip, that is yet to be determined and will be determined at a later time. However, you can expect this trip to take place from around April 19 to somewhere in the neighborhood of April 23 to April 24.

What lifts can you expect me to film?

Due to high degrees of uncertainty with this non-solo trip proposal, the lifts I may film (if I even get to film ONE lift, in this case is just enough to make me happy), will not be announced until a formal blog post goes up on June 13 at 7:00 PM. This blog post will be a FULL-FLEDGED trip report with a LOT of pie charts, histograms to represent quality scores over the course of the trip & other things I wish to include in the trip report.

DO NOT EXPECT ME TO FILM ANY LIFTS ON THIS BIG NON-SOLO TRIP! I have made one dire mistake in Atlantic City back in August 2018 which could have screwed me over had the lifts been another brand but Schindler (brand new lifts). Especially if I am not driving to the same destination AND WE’RE FLYING AND WE HAVE ONLY ONE RENTAL CAR AND NOT IN A BIG CITY WHERE THERE ARE MANY TALL BUILDINGS WITHIN A 5-MINUTE WALK OF THE HOTEL, expect me not to film many, if any, lifts whatsoever. I already do not want to film any totally awesome lifts until after high school because I want to save the good for when the bad is over.

If I HAPPEN TO GO TO FLORIDA, only the 4 private hornrt colonies on YouTube (aka the FRIRD HOTEL EMPLOYEES’ CHAT) will receive real-time chat notifications on what lifts I am about to film and what lifts I have just filmed.

However, in the rare case that we are STAYING IN NEW JERSEY for Spring Break, it is a likely scenario that I will drive to the same hotel using my car. That way, from the hotel, I can drive to other buildings to film other lifts!

What to expect from May 1st until June 17

June 13 is the last day of the academic year, and one of two scenarios will happen:

    • I will hopefully get my high school diploma in my hands before 5:15 PM (I am publishing the giant journal post at 7:00 PM to give an extra time window to receive my diploma in case the situation is not normal on my proposed graduation day).
    • OR, I will hopefully get my 4th year report card. I will only set up a summer lift filming itinerary if I have passed EVERY SINGLE CLASS listed on my report card with at least “D” or better.

From May 1st until June 13, DO NOT EXPECT ME TO FILM MANY, IF ANY LIFTS OUTSIDE OF CLINTON AND BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIPS! I will be using this time to devote to preparing for the worst case scenario possible at the end of the academic year in the same way that I prepared for the worst case scenario possible at the road test I took yesterday afternoon.

The type of graduation trip I will experience on June 17 will be determined on how easy or hard it was to get through the last few months of high school, and how much more quickly it was getting easier or harder day by day leading up to June 13. I could simply be going to Bridgewater (if May wasn’t a big deal to get through), or I could be going as far down as Mount Laurel Township & then making a second stop in Atlantic City, with a third being Secaucus the next morning, if May was worse than any of my former days in High School, including some of McKee’s worst.

In addition, you won’t get another series of journal posts until April 19. Until then, see y’all!

Found the source of the problems with my PC

I am proud to finally tell y’all that I believe I have found a definite source of the problems I have been experiencing with my Windows PC over the past few days. It was because of a faulty Windows 10 preview update which was affecting the Windows 10 Recovery Environment. Luckily, I have found a trustworthy program (free of malware) which I could use to debug errors in my PC at any time, minor or major. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s happened when I tried to fix windows PC’s in the past. I am still taking  every precaution possible to further decrease the chance of my Windows PC breaking down or crashing. As a matter of fact, my PC almost crashed  this morning , but luckily, I was able to hard-restart the PC to get it working again by holding the power button down for 15-20 seconds. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s h...

LIFT FILMING AGENDA UPDATE 1.25.2019 & WILL CHICAGO BE CROWNED THE NEW KING?

Chicago holds a high possibility of being crowned first place . What if I told you that Chicago has some rare and exotic lifts that you probably won’t find in many other places in the U.S.? That is an existence a lift filmer will be delighted with when they go to the city of Chicago. My four figures of reference were: WI Sirens and Elevators Elevators of Lake County CHI Elevators Windy City Elevators Because I have found so many outstanding Montgomery, Dover, SchindlerHaughton, Westinghouse and KONE lifts throughout the city of Chicago, it wouldn’t be sensible for me to write it all under one big blog post, because it would be a big waste of time for me to go into big, elaborate detail on what made each lift stand out. What I found on YouTube in terms of Chicago lifts Mitsubishi and Fujitec These lift filmers have walked around the city of Chicago filming some super nice lifts, and in the process of watching YouTube videos over the past few months, I have found that Ch...

QUICK RUNDOWN OF THE NORMAL BEHAVIOR OF A 700A

Tallest 700A’s I have been on Arguably, at 20 stories, these have been the tallest Schindler 700A’s I have EVER been on, and the first I’ve been on in a hotel. However, I have noticed some interesting characteristics of the Schindler 700A in mid to high rise applications. Epic lifts indeed To start off, these lifts had absolutely incredible acceleration, deceleration and leveling. They take off like rockets and travel at a mindblowing speed of 120 meters per minute, despite serving a travel distance of 55-60 meters. The deceleration is similar to the Schindler 700A’s at the Nordstrom store at the Mall at Short Hills, as it smoothly phases into its full deceleration mode. In terms of character, these lifts do tend to make a little bit of noise and shake on the way up and down the tower. Car 3 makes a very loud screeching noise as it accelerates towards level 17 going down, which I find to make the ride even more fun. These lifts were installed in 1993, which gives them even more 199...
