Car 1

D20 call station (Lower terminal)

D20 car interior

D20 buttons

D20 FPI

D20 down indicator

D20 lights
The first lift is a KONE orange D20 lift which was installed in 2013 when the shopping center was expanded. This lift travels 1.5 P & is a great lift due to how it jolts, clunks & glitches. I really like the way it has semi-classic leveling & pre-doors. This lift is very fast for the distance it serves & has a basic standard car interior. Overall, a great lift.

Car 2

KSS 140 OOS Indicator

KSS 140 Intermediate Call Station

KSS 140 Landing

KSS 140 Interior Fixtures

KSS 140 Internal FPI

This lift is located at the taller part of the car park terrace outside of Urban Outfitters on the second floor of the shopping center. It is a KONE KSS 140 which was also installed in 2013. This lift serves 5 floors & travels 1.5 P. It is an epic & awesome lift due to how it classic levels, jolts, screeches, clunks & makes several shaft noises going up & down. It provides a very flimsy ride experience adding to the ride character. This lift is the appropriate speed for the distance it serves & it has a basic standard car interior. Overall, an epic & awesome lift.

Car 3

330A VR Internal FPI

330A VR Fixtures

This lift is located at the food court. It opens into the food court on the lower level but into a corridor on the upper level. It is a basic standard lift with jolty starts & stops. It has very quick & pronounced leveling. The motor is not very loud so it is a basic standard lift with a basic standard car interior. The only value here is that it has 2-speed doors, which only 2 other lifts at this shopping center have.

Car 4

330A VR Terminal Call Station

330A VR Terminal Upper Lantern

330A VR Braille

330A Landing

Service Car

Upper 330A VR COP with FPI

Lower 330A VR COP

This lift is located at the other end of the car park. It is a parking terrace situated below AMC Theaters. It is a beat-up unrenovated Schindler 330A lift which has jolty starts & stops. It has slightly long leveling times & has a grotty car interior, making it more interesting compared to the other 330A lifts. It has a service lift car interior even though it is a passenger lift. This is the most interesting 330A lift throughout the mall only due to its appearance. Other than that it runs very similarly to the other 330A lifts.

Car 5

Generic CircleLine Call Button

Generic CircleLine Internal COP

ACME FPI

This lift is located in between Macy’s & Nordstrom. It is a basic standard generic lift with quick start-up times & a very interestingly-configured controller, likely inherited from when it used to be a Schindler-Haughton before its most recent mod 10 years ago. It sports EPCO CircleLine buttons. All in all, it is a basic standard lift with a nicely redone car interior. The alarm isn’t very loud, however. While only a basic standard lift by appearance, where it really gets its shine is from how it runs.

Car 6

Custom Series 1 FPI

Custom Series 1 COP

This lift is located in Nordstrom. It is the fastest lift throughout the shopping center & it is a very rare, custom, OTIS 2000 Electric from the late 1980’s. It travels 3 P & the alarm is very loud. I like the custom Series 1 fixtures as well as the generic arrows they used in place of the Series 1 arrows at the landings. These lifts have been renovated since 10 years ago but not modernised. They are epic & awesome with how they run as they move very slowly before they accelerate & then decelerate in waves instead of one clean go, meaning they have 2 leveling speeds instead of one, meaning they sport 3-speed leveling. I think this might be the only one in New Jersey with 3-speed leveling. If that’s the case, extra bonus points for how rare a lift these are. Not many exist throughout the United States, maybe even world.

Car 7

ACME FPI

PTL Centurion COP (Left)

PTL Centurion COP (Right)

This lift is located neat the other carpark. The first lift did not have a working alarm bell but the second had one. The lift is a very huge epic & awesome generic Schindler Haughton lift which has a very loud motor going both up & down. It uses PTL Centurion buttons.

Car 8

PTL Centurion COP

Car Size

ACME FPI
This lift is located near the Neiman Marcus entrance. It is the largest lift as it could support up to 9,000 pounds. It has a green car interior & a very loud motor. This lift was low on oil to the point where the motor almost gave out when leveling with the floor, leaving me almost stranded. Besides that, it’s a fire 4x lift. The scary elements add character to it.

Car 9

HT COP

HT FPI

This lift is located in Urban Outfitters. It is a basic standard lift with a stainless steel car interior. It has nice jolts but pretty slow leveling. It is a Schindler HT lift with a rear door opening into a half floor between the lower level & upper level.

Car 10

KSS 140 COP

KSS 140 FPI

This lift, which was broken earlier during the journey, is located right outside of Neiman Marcus at the taller part of the parking terraces by the valet parking area. This lift is a Kone HornrtDisc which travels 1.5 P, just like the other HornrtDiscs & serves a half floor between floors 2 & 3. It serves 5-6 landings in total & is epic & awesome due to the intelligent leveling & the violent jolts when starting. The shaft noises add to the character.

Car 11

MKE Original Car Interior from 1995

EXCEL Innovation Prestige Fixtures

EXCEL Blue ACME Indicator

EXCEL Innovation Lanterns

EXCEL Door Frame

EXCEL Intermediate Call Station with Mini FPI

This lift, which is a Montgomery KONE EXCEL, is located in Neiman Marcus. Despite being modernised, it’s still on its original controller & it is a great lift with a great motor. I like the way this lift behaves. It adds personality to the flavor.

Found the source of the problems with my PC

I am proud to finally tell y’all that I believe I have found a definite source of the problems I have been experiencing with my Windows PC over the past few days. It was because of a faulty Windows 10 preview update which was affecting the Windows 10 Recovery Environment. Luckily, I have found a trustworthy program (free of malware) which I could use to debug errors in my PC at any time, minor or major. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s happened when I tried to fix windows PC’s in the past. I am still taking  every precaution possible to further decrease the chance of my Windows PC breaking down or crashing. As a matter of fact, my PC almost crashed  this morning , but luckily, I was able to hard-restart the PC to get it working again by holding the power button down for 15-20 seconds. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s h...

LIFT FILMING AGENDA UPDATE 1.25.2019 & WILL CHICAGO BE CROWNED THE NEW KING?

Chicago holds a high possibility of being crowned first place . What if I told you that Chicago has some rare and exotic lifts that you probably won’t find in many other places in the U.S.? That is an existence a lift filmer will be delighted with when they go to the city of Chicago. My four figures of reference were: WI Sirens and Elevators Elevators of Lake County CHI Elevators Windy City Elevators Because I have found so many outstanding Montgomery, Dover, SchindlerHaughton, Westinghouse and KONE lifts throughout the city of Chicago, it wouldn’t be sensible for me to write it all under one big blog post, because it would be a big waste of time for me to go into big, elaborate detail on what made each lift stand out. What I found on YouTube in terms of Chicago lifts Mitsubishi and Fujitec These lift filmers have walked around the city of Chicago filming some super nice lifts, and in the process of watching YouTube videos over the past few months, I have found that Ch...

QUICK RUNDOWN OF THE NORMAL BEHAVIOR OF A 700A

Tallest 700A’s I have been on Arguably, at 20 stories, these have been the tallest Schindler 700A’s I have EVER been on, and the first I’ve been on in a hotel. However, I have noticed some interesting characteristics of the Schindler 700A in mid to high rise applications. Epic lifts indeed To start off, these lifts had absolutely incredible acceleration, deceleration and leveling. They take off like rockets and travel at a mindblowing speed of 120 meters per minute, despite serving a travel distance of 55-60 meters. The deceleration is similar to the Schindler 700A’s at the Nordstrom store at the Mall at Short Hills, as it smoothly phases into its full deceleration mode. In terms of character, these lifts do tend to make a little bit of noise and shake on the way up and down the tower. Car 3 makes a very loud screeching noise as it accelerates towards level 17 going down, which I find to make the ride even more fun. These lifts were installed in 1993, which gives them even more 199...
