WHAT TO EXPECT FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 21

Throughout the week of April 21 (Spring break), I will PROBABLY be home in Clinton Township, NJ, due to going to KEAN Uni on Tuesday, April 23rd for an important event anyway. Here are the stats based on how the Spring break trip may play out:

So far, the highest chances are that we are staying in NJ and not going outside of NJ. However, things may change in the next journal post.

Journal posting schedule (as of April 17 at 7:00 PM):

Journal posting and YouTube premieres happen once every hour and 45 minutes in the following table below:

MORNING PERIOD MORNING TIME EVENING TIME
PERIOD 1 3:15 AM 1:45 PM
PERIOD 2 5:00 AM 3:30 PM
PERIOD 3 6:45 AM 5:15 PM
PERIOD 4 8:30 AM 7:00 PM
PERIOD 5 10:15 AM 8:45 PM
PERIOD 6 12:00 PM 10:30 PM

What to expect for lifts

The kinds of lifts I film over spring recess will not be known until June 13.

New Jersey

If I am staying in NJ, I am most likely going to drive to wherever the rest of the fam is going (following their car) so that I can easily drive to the other buildings to film other lifts. Possible cities I could be going to during the Spring break (if we’re staying in New Jersey), include:

  • Secaucus
  • Lyndhurst Township
  • Elizabeth
  • Union Township (where KEAN University is)
  • Somerville
  • Bridgewater Township
  • Clinton Township
  • Mt. Laurel Township
  • Atlantic City
  • Cape May / Ocean City

Pennsylvania

We may most likely be going to either Scranton, Pittsburgh, Lancaster or Philadelphia if we go to Pennsylvania.

Connecticut

We may most likely be going to Hartford and Cromwell if we go to Connecticut, and the lifts will most likely be OTIS.

Florida

We may most likely be going to the Fort Lauderdale area, or the Miami Tail area where Key West is if we go to Florida.

California

We will most likely be going within the LA area if we go to California.

Outside the U.S.

While unlikely, if we are to go outside the U.S., we will most likely either go to Niagara Falls, Toronto, Jerusalem or Tel Aviv.

When will the lifts be premiered?

As soon as I am done working on the final pieces (which must be scheduled by April 28), I will upload and schedule a premiere for them on YouTube on the day that I get my final report card, which may not be on June 13. Regardless, they will be up on my channel BEFORE JULY 1ST AT 5:00 AM! You will be notified via journal post no sooner than 1 hour & 45 minutes before the videos are premiered. The journal post will tell you to turn on your reminders! The reason I am waiting until I get my final report card is to make sure that my diploma cannot be taken away (that’s if I even GET my diploma to begin with, which is THE LAST THING I EXPECT) should I get a lower score in one or more of my classes due to final exams and/or tests and projects that weren’t entered into ASPEN before the last day of the academic year which is June 12. The summer lift filming schedule & the decision for my series of 3 graduation trips will be made ONLY AFTER I get my 4th marking period report card, and that’s only if my worst grade is a D.

Why Schindler & KONE make the best traction lifts

Over the past 2 & a half years of filming lifts at different buildings all over the Eastern Seaboard, I have managed to film a handful of OTIS, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp & KONE traction lifts. Here is my assumption: Schindler & KONE make the best traction & MRL traction lifts of any of the 4 major lift brands. Of course, this could be based on personal bias, but it doesn’t go without knowledge that Schindler lifts, are in fact, more efficient time-based than let’s say, ThyssenKrupp lifts. Here are some things that I really love about Schindler & KONE traction lifts. Their fast acceleration / leveling It is no surprise that Schindler & KONE have some of the fastest average accelerating rates of any major lift brand. This is because Schindler & KONE have a perfect reference-tackle system, which is almost unbeatable by standards of other lift brands. One thing I have noticed when riding Schindler lifts is even at low speeds (200-400 FPM), you head feels like...

Found the source of the problems with my PC

I am proud to finally tell y’all that I believe I have found a definite source of the problems I have been experiencing with my Windows PC over the past few days. It was because of a faulty Windows 10 preview update which was affecting the Windows 10 Recovery Environment. Luckily, I have found a trustworthy program (free of malware) which I could use to debug errors in my PC at any time, minor or major. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s happened when I tried to fix windows PC’s in the past. I am still taking  every precaution possible to further decrease the chance of my Windows PC breaking down or crashing. As a matter of fact, my PC almost crashed  this morning , but luckily, I was able to hard-restart the PC to get it working again by holding the power button down for 15-20 seconds. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s h...

THE OTIS IN ANAHEIM

Before writing this report, let me quickly give you some background on the lifts and escalators that I have seen during my time at DisneyLand in Anaheim, California with my family. Brief Overview While I was at DisneyLand in Anaheim, I have encountered four sets of very tall MontgomeryKONE escalators, a set of two very fast MontgomeryKONE traction units (partially outdoor as the first landing had a rear door that opened on the outside of the building), this OTIS hydro here that I managed to ride and film & another OTIS hydro that I didn’t get to ride nor film. These lifts, regardless, were still very awesome lifts, but for now, I will be going into a description of this amazing lift. What made this lift so amazing? This particular lift is so amazing because it’s a full-blown commercial hydraulic lift installed fully outdoors , which is rather unusual for an outdoor lift. This alone made it amazing. Upon first glance, it looks like a pretty standard lift that you would typical...
