COVID Alert: January 2

Happy New Year!

Due to the Omicron variant, coupled with a substantial increase in COVID transmission throughout the United States, all lift filming events will continue to take place virtually using Bandicam & Skyscrapersim until further notice. Additionally, the Stamford & NYC trips in January & February 2022 have been replaced with virtual lift filming days.

These safety precautions are being taken despite me being triple vaccinated & dual-masked.

The further notice policy is still in effect:

  • 14-day average of 49,999 cases or fewer
  • 21-day average of 74,999 cases or fewer
  • 28-day average of 99,999 cases or fewer
Throughout the United States.

The further notice policy must apply for in-person lift filming to take place. Should the daily cases rise above 100,000 at any point in time for the 28-day average, the further notice policy will be reapplied & will not be switched back for 28 days.

Why Schindler & KONE make the best traction lifts

Over the past 2 & a half years of filming lifts at different buildings all over the Eastern Seaboard, I have managed to film a handful of OTIS, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp & KONE traction lifts. Here is my assumption: Schindler & KONE make the best traction & MRL traction lifts of any of the 4 major lift brands. THE OTIS IN ANAHEIM

Before writing this report, let me quickly give you some background on the lifts and escalators that I have seen during my time at DisneyLand in Anaheim, California with my family. Brief Overview While I was at DisneyLand in Anaheim, I have encountered four sets of very tall MontgomeryKONE escalators, a set of two very fast MontgomeryKONE traction units (partially outdoor as the first landing had a rear door that opened on the outside of the building), this OTIS hydro here that I managed to ride and film & another OTIS hydro that I didn’t get to ride nor film. These lifts, regardless, were still very awesome lifts, but for now, I will be going into a description of this amazing lift. What made this lift so amazing? This particular lift is so amazing because it’s a full-blown commercial hydraulic lift installed fully outdoors , which is rather unusual for an outdoor lift. This alone made it amazing. Paramus Lift Galore: June 2022
