Paramus Lift Galore: June 2022

Written on behalf of the Rising Salamander Academy Lift Galore Date: June 17 Lift Galore Time: 5:00 PM EST It's been a long time since I've last filmed lifts in person, a whole whopping half a year to be exact. I'm excited to be back, but not for long, since I have to finish up my time at Kean University & focus on graduating on time. But for the mean time, let's enjoy our summer recess, film the best lifts we can film & make the most of it! Westinghouse Lift Where: Macy's, Garden State Plaza Time Filmed: 10:10 AM (June 10) Grade: B+ Speed to Height Ratio: 8.1:1 (Fast) Landings Served: 3 The first lift of this lift galore is a 1950's Westinghouse lift which was later modernised by a generic company between the 1980's & early 2000's with EPCO Flushline fixtures on the outside, EPCO Circleline fixtures on the inside. This lift has a speed to height ratio of 8.1:1 which makes it fast for the application & number of landings. This lift is loc...

Lift filming plans for the summer

I apologize for my hiatus from both in-person & virtual lift filming. My schedule was a lot busier & more rigorous as I was anticipating & I had to reprioritize my time towards studying to keep up with my grades. However, my semester & the fiasco is done & I am back. Recap since the hiatus During my hiatus, I turned 21 & went to Atlantic City during the weekend of February 12, where I filmed the fastest set of Schindler 700A lifts you could find in NJ. Video premiered on May 13 at 11:00 AM . Additionally, I had wisdom tooth removal surgery on May 13 at 10:30 AM, which rendered me out of commission for the following 3 weeks as I've been back & forth to & from the dentist since for checkups & cleanings. In January, I have replaced my Honda CR-V with a 2020 Acura MDX, which is my third dream vehicle behind the Toyota 4Runner & Lexus GX. For more information, private message me on Discord. However, I'm back now. Minor rebranding campaign I ha...

Change in lift filming plans for the semester

At this point, we are two weeks into the semester & heading into our third week. Based upon my current workload from all my courses, I am sorry to say that I unfortunately will not be able to stick with the tentative lift filming plan I proposed last month. I apologize for the inconvenience. The January virtual showdown was moved to March 26 at 6:30 PM .  OMICRON CASES ARE STARTING TO TREND DOWNWARD CONSISTENTLY THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY. HENCE, THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT BY THE TIME THE SEMESTER ENDS I WILL BE IN A POSITION WHERE I CAN BE CONFIDENT TO RESUME IP LIFT FILMING AGAIN. ONLY EVIDENCE WILL TELL. ADDITIONALLY, ALL SOLO OVERNIGHT LIFT FILMING PLANS HAVE BEEN SCRAPPED FOR THE ENTIRETY OF 2022 & WILL BE MOVED TO 2023. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT THE FLORIDA TRIP IN JULY 2023 WILL BE MOVED TO DECEMBER 2023 TO REDUCE THE RISK OF WASP OR HORNET ATTACKS & TO INCREASE THE TIME TO SECURE THE BUDGET REQUIRED TO SUSTAIN THE ENTIRE SPAN OF THE EXCURSION. Early Signs of Success with Virtual Lift Filming

I am pleased to report that virtual lift filming is getting off to a promising start thus far & is the first sign of revival for my YouTube channel amidst the height of the coronavirus pandemic with Omicron. Perhaps, finding out the alternative link to the Beno Building Creator ended up being a win. Benefits Due to virtual lift filming, I do not have to get in my Honda CRV to drive to different buildings, don't have to deal with negative vibes which may arise from filming lifts IP while trying to avoid security, don't have to worry about the possibility of broken lifts & can build any type of building I could dream of.  Thus, without the overhead, I can focus on filming as many virtual lifts as I like, only doing it from my Windows PC using Skyscrapersim & Bandicam. This allows me to film anywhere, even in remote locations with no lifts. Conclusion Due to not having to drive around to different places, I can now be more consistent on my YouTube channel & line up...

Plans to Go Hybrid After the Brunt of Omicron

I'm sure you all know how horrible this new Omicron variant of the coronavirus is. I'm praying with you all that the Omicron variant ends up going away soon enough. However, I have some good news: I am able to film lifts virtually again  thanks to a tip from the Skyscrapersim forum of the Beno Building Creators being hidden behind slightly altered URL's. I was able to figure this out pretty quickly, tested it to verify the validity & voila! I'm back to virtual lift filming (for the foreseeable future). For over a year & a half, I could not film any lifts virtually due to the original links to the Skyscrapersim building creators being put behind a firewall. I must make one thing very clear. Despite being fully vaccinated, boosted & continuing to wear my mask, social distancing & sanitizing my hands thoroughly & frequently when I'm out, along with abiding by other coronavirus safety guidelines, given the such high Omicron transmission numbers throu...
