Analysis
At first glance, as the lift door opens to the right, we’re greeted with a light wooden cab interior with tiled down hanging fluorescent translucent lighting of a slightly warmer tone. The handrails are pretty basic standard brushed steel. To the left of the video on frame, we see a super nice white-illuminated Kone proprietary lantern with a typical Kone chime. The door type, as can be seen, is a painted left-hand single-speed door (opens to the right, on film, from the outside). So far, the cab seems to transmit great vibes. Further into the video, as the occupants of the lift press the KSS buttons (KSS model unknown), the buttons light up white, which is a rarity for a Kone hydro let alone a mod. Even the floor indicator (white illuminating) is a rarity. Kone hydro mods are a rarity as well. The appearance of the panel is a typical KONE style KSS panel & the layout of the buttons on the panel are, of course, basic standard. The fixtures may not look that special but the white illumination definitely sets them apart from other KONE fixtures.

Analysis
This lift definitely has some hidden character to it. Run character usually counts for between 65% & 90% of the entire lift, depending on which lift character report is used when critiquing the lift. Before the motor even starts, we notice the door operator is a bit rough & the door is a bit slow to close, adding some personality to the lift. This is not an official metric of the Signature Credit lift character report, however. Once the door closes, there is a second of delay before the floor indicator changes & the motor starts, subtracting from the lift character score. The motor does have an epic startup sound (Metric: 781 | ~4.4 stars) & a quite unique one at that. It reminds me of the sketchy modernised Dover (now a Shasta) which Jowevator 3219 filmed in California a while back. Judging by the sudden camera movement, it could be inferred that this lift has a jolty start on the way up, but the motor going up sounds like music to our ears. For the absolutely low distance the lift travels, the lift is very fast (if not, too fast for the distance, Metric: 633 | ~3 stars). The leveling sound is absolutely astonishing & it seems to level & decelerate smoothly (Metric: 744 | ~4 stars). Leveling & delay time doesn’t disappoint either. This lift levels even quicker than a ThyssenKrupp traction normally would (Metric: 670 | ~3.4 stars). Going back down, the lift sounds absolutely priceless, as should be expected for these mini retrofitted hydros. View 0:56-1:06 for downward movement. Leveling on the way down is even faster than leveling on the way up & delays are minimal.
Final Report
Overall, this lift is a great lift. It scored a rating of 732 | 3.9 stars overall. Everything from the cab, to the fixtures, the configuration to the way it ran was spot-on & Kone did a great job with lift upgrades. This is a lift I would personally recommend for anyone visiting Dallas, TX who likes to film lifts.
