What is a trailer?
A trailer is an introduction to the lift galores to follow. A trailer can be up to 3 minutes long & offers a brief glimpse of each lift which will be featured on a LIVE premiere. These trailers premiere 24 hours before said specific corresponding part of the lift galore premieres. Magisto is used to create this type of premiere.
What is a lift galore?
A lift galore is a lift tour premiere that is 3-15 minutes long. This is the basic lift galore showcasing all lifts filmed during a regular, single-day lift filming excursion where up to 10 lifts are filmed. A lift galore can be broken up into multiple parts if over 10 lifts were filmed during the same day or to conserve technological resources during editing. Clipchamp is used to create lift galore videos, with the Clipchamp watermark & 480 P export quality (for now).
What is an extended urbex lift galore?
An extended urbex lift galore is a lift galore that is 15-30 minutes long. This lift galore usually happens to premiere the top 10 lifts from a larger or overnight excursion if over 10 lifts are filmed. Clipchamp is used to create lift galore videos, with the Clipchamp watermark & 480 P export quality (for now).
Readcast FAQ
What is a short readcast?
A short readcast is a quick summary of a lift galore containing a single lift, or a summary of a trailer/preview to ready viewers for a future lift galore. This type of readcast usually contains 200 words or fewer & is 1 to a few paragraphs long at most. This type of readcast has free access.
What is a medium-length readcast?
A medium-length readcast is a decent-length summary of a lift galore containing a couple lifts from the same building & is usually published a few hours before the trailer/preview to the lift galore is premiered on the channel. This type of readcast usually contains 200-300 words & can be up to a few paragraphs long depending on how many details of the lifts were noted during filming. This type of readcast has free access.
What is a full-length readcast?
A full-length readcast is a full-length summary of a lift galore containing the average number of lifts (4-5) filmed in a lift galore from 1-2 buildings & is usually published the day of the lift galore premiere. This type of readcast usually contains 300-400 words & can be several paragraphs long depending on how many lifts were filmed in a lift galore & how much detail was noted during the filming process. This type of readcast has free access.
What is an extended-length readcast?
An extended-length readcast is a very long & detailed transcribed overview of a longer lift galore, e.g. urbex lift galore where other portions of film outside of the lift (general building photography, fire alarm tours, stairwell tours or other architectural pictures) are included inside the lift galore along with clips of the lifts. These types of readcasts usually vary in length from 400-500 words & can be several paragraphs long depending on how much detail was noted during the filming process. This type of readcast has free access.
Premium Readcasts FAQ
What is a premium readcast?
A premium readcast is the longest & most detailed transcribed overview of an extended urbex lift galore (in most situations) or during extended lift galores where a lot of footage from a few lifts, or some footage from many lifts (10+ lifts) were recorded during the filming process. These types of readcasts usually vary greatly in length & are over 500 words long with the potential to have up to 1,200 words depending upon the magnitude of detail noted during the filming process. These readcasts are usually a subscription-based service, but will remain a free service through June 2022. OVERNIGHT LIFT GALORES WILL BE PARTIALLY FUNDED BY PROCEEDS FROM THE PREMIUM READCAST SUBSCRIPTION PLANS.
What is the pricing plan for a premium readcast?
Until June 2022, premium readcasts are readily available on The Rising Salamander Readcast Series blog for free of charge. Starting June 2022, the following premium pricing plans will be enacted specifically for premium readcasts only:
- A subscription plan of $4.48/month for premium readcasts between 500 & 2,000 words
- A one-time purchase of $17.00 for 2,000-3,000 words with $6.00 added on per 1,000 subsequent words for specific readcasts with serious amounts of detail
- A subscription plan of $7.78/month for overnight solo premium readcasts between 500 & 2,000 words
- A one-time purchase of $26.00 for specific overnight solo readcasts over 5,000 words
What about copyright?
The premium readcasts will continue to remain copyright-free until June 2022 when paid subscription plans are put in place. Starting June 2022, these readcasts will be subject to copyright laws & publication, duplication or modification of my premium readcasts are not allowed unless you request written permission to use them.
