Broke the record for the oldest lift I filmed!

Oldest & BEST lift I have filmed throughout my career so far 60S LEGACY OTIS The buttons you see in the pictures above are the buttons on the lift that I managed to film this morning at Newark Liberty International Airport when I was picking up my family relatives from the airport. FROM A DISTANCE,  I could see a very vintage-looking lift, so I rode the escalator (60s legacy OTIS escalator upgraded in the 2000s by KONE) up to the 2nd floor of the airport, where I picked up my family relatives. Little did I know, I was going to have the opportunity to ride this awesome old lift when I saw that their baggage was heavy enough to recommend use of the lift! When I saw the baggage being piled onto the cart, I immediately became TOO FAR  BEYOND EXCITED because I knew it wouldn't be able to fit on the escalator! Excited was like the BIGGEST UNDERSTATEMENT! Excitement started brewing in me when we started slowly walking towards THAT  LIFT!  When I saw...

A/P update 2/25

We are SUPER UNLIKELY to go to Atlanta OR Pittsburgh! Pittsburgh As you could clearly see in the probability trend given to you from above, the probability of us going to Pittsburgh during Passover Week looks alarmingly low, however, I am in the process of moving to a DIFFERENT property in Hunterdon County, so you could almost expect us to be super lucky if we even get any opposing ideas that we might be GOING! I don't anticipate OR expect to go to Pittsburgh during Passover Week, however, I have high hopes for it. The bottom line is that trips to ANY PRINCIPAL CITY of Charlotte Kingdom will not go as planned & even while a trip is happening, expect itineraries to change so fast you can't even say "BOO!" With that being said, I will do absolutely everything I possibly could under the sun to keep you updated with only the most real facts I could give you. Expect nothing good for the next 2 Pittsburgh updates after this! If you think Pittsburgh looks alarm...

My awesome experience at the Tropicana

It was awesome! After riding the vast majority of the lifts in the Tropicana Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ, I will have to safely conclude with the fact that the Tropicana is one of the MOST AMAZING hotels I have visited BY FAR! It was by far one of the most epic ones I have ever been to! The hotel is so huge that it literally feels like the city of Charlotte condensed into a mega-tower complex, with everything balanced to date it back to the 80s/90s. Not only that, but I loved the Caribbean style architecture of the entire hotel ! Everything from the lifts, to the security, to the architectural appeal of the hotel lured me to explore! The hotel is so big it will take you hours upon hours to have a full urbex advent of it & it will take gigabytes of space on your phone by the time you are finished.  That's probably just half of the hotel though. In short, the Tropicana is the queen  of Atlantic City when it comes to how amazing the lifts are & it puts the Borgata to ...

A/P update 2/11

Due to poor timing on my part, I accidentally forgot to include references to visual projected forecast graphs on our probabilities of going to Atlanta & Pittsburgh, but as of now, the verdict day for Pittsburgh is March 25 & the verdict day for Atlanta is July 1.  We will be bringing Tropicana updates beginning June 3rd & there will be 4 update posts. Los Angeles is starting to enter the picture, but we will regard it as highly unlikely to almost impossible for now until new ideas are present. Here are my favorite U.S. states to film lifts in order : North Carolina New Jersey California Florida Texas Connecticut Atlanta Although I anticipate a grand possibility of us not going to Atlanta this summer (it will be a grand disappointment if we don't go), there is still A  chance that we might be going, but it's not looking too great at all . So far, we have a 10 percent probability of going to Atlanta over the summer (2 percent probability of going...

Reflecting on this weekend's past Borgata lift experience

OTIS lower third set of lifts at the South Tower  of the Borgata hotel in Atlantic City, NJ Introduction It was Friday night, at 6:00 in the evening, when I arrived at this magnificent hotel called the Borgata (my 2nd favorite hotel in America). From the Dubai-style architecture to the amazing, epic fast OTIS Elevonic 411 lifts, I absolutely loved my stay at the Borgata hotel very, very much! The Borgata is unlike any other traditional hotel I have ever been to! Sadly, I did not get to film any OTIS Elevonic 411 lifts at the Waterclub tower, but it's not that big of a loss since I was able to film most  of the lifts at my tower (Borgata tower). Additionally, another lift photographer has recently filmed the Waterclub tower lifts, so refer to his video  for those lifts. Things I liked about the Borgata: 5 swimming pools 5 sets of OTIS Elevonic 411 lifts Many, MANY hidden OTIS hydraulic lifts throughout the casino floor Rooftop hydraulic lifts First ...

Borgata verdict

WE ARE GOING! You heard that huge, you heard that grand, you heard that 100% right! We are going to the Borgata! There is a near  100 percent chance we are going at this time. Since we are almost certainly  going to the Borgata, what could you expect? Definitely expect at least some  footage of some of the lifts I will hope to film when I go to the Borgata, INCLUDING some of the high rise lifts & especially the set of lifts I need to use to get to my hotel room. I do not have a set itinerary for which lifts I will be filming. This means you will only know about them AFTER I film them via the FRIRND hashtag on Google+. FYI, I will NOT be livestreaming ANY of my EleFilms.  If you want more, the next Atlanta/Pittsburgh trip update blog posts will be up on February 11 at 8:45 AM.
