A/P update 2/25

We are SUPER UNLIKELY to go to Atlanta OR Pittsburgh!

Pittsburgh

As you could clearly see in the probability trend given to you from above, the probability of us going to Pittsburgh during Passover Week looks alarmingly low, however, I am in the process of moving to a DIFFERENT property in Hunterdon County, so you could almost expect us to be super lucky if we even get any opposing ideas that we might be GOING! I don't anticipate OR expect to go to Pittsburgh during Passover Week, however, I have high hopes for it. The bottom line is that trips to ANY PRINCIPAL CITY of Charlotte Kingdom will not go as planned & even while a trip is happening, expect itineraries to change so fast you can't even say "BOO!" With that being said, I will do absolutely everything I possibly could under the sun to keep you updated with only the most real facts I could give you. Expect nothing good for the next 2 Pittsburgh updates after this! If you think Pittsburgh looks alarming, Atlanta hasn't risen above 3% since January 28!

However, if things change & I do get to go to Pittsburgh, I have no set lift filming itinerary, meaning that I will try to be open to filming as many different lifts throughout Pittsburgh as possible, mainly his worst lifts (all have Innovation or EPCO but I will NOT film the lifts that have EPCO SSL, EPCO MML or Monitor TR).
Regarding Pittsburgh's best lifts, there is no "best lift" because 90% of all of the lifts in Pittsburgh are equally good, old or new, generic or real. It is a city filled with lifts full of class, taste & character, 3 important elements to make a lift really worth the film.

Atlanta

As of right now, the probability of us going to Atlanta hasn't reached above 3 percent since January 28. While this isn't entirely surprising since I am expecting us not to go to Atlanta anyway, it is surprising to see the probability staying at 3% instead of dropping towards the 0% threshold. From now until July 1st at 6:00 PM when the final verdict pops up, the probability of us going to Charlotte or ANYWHERE IN NORTH CAROLINA FOR THE MATTER is 20% of the probability of us going to Atlanta. I am making this proportion based off of what kept happening during past long-distance Charlotte-Kingdom trips. However, if, only by a slimmer of a chance should we end up going to Atlanta this summer & the verdict does say "we are going" at the top of the blog post in big giant Roboto font, then these are the first lifts I am hoping to film besides the hotel or airport if I'm flying or staying at a hotel in Atlanta (I hope I do so that I could ride up & down its lift for fun):
  1. Hyatt Place Atlanta GA at Peachtree St Northwest (EPIC 1MPS OTIS BLACK BUTTON DC POWERED)
  2. Carpark at Woodruff Arts Centre (GLASS 0.5MPS MINNESOTA HIGHDRAULIC)
  3. Ponce City Market (GLASS EPIC EUROPEAN 1MPS KONE ECOSPACE)
  4. Atlanta Symphony Hall (HEAVY DUTY 0.35MPS MONTGOMERY HYDRAULIC)
  5. Cobb County Carpark (GLASS 0.75MPS KONE ECOSPACE WITH CLASS)
  6. Atlanta Airport Gateway Marriott (EPIC VERY FAST 2.0MPS MODERN KONE MONOSPACE)
However, this is only a list of lifts I HOPE to film IF I end up going to Atlanta, NOT the ones I am EXPECTING to film! In fact, I do not expect to be filming any lifts at all if I go to Atlanta because there's always a probability above 80 percent that I will be staying at family relatives who live half hour north of Atlanta anyway. I cannot get too excited for Atlanta because if I do & it ends up looking horrible on the first day of July, then I would be excited for no reason at all.

Furthermore, as the probability for Atlanta stays at 3% or continues dwindling down towards the 0% line, expect Tropicana in Atlantic City to become a leading possibility once June 3rd hits! Once June 3rd hits, we will have blog post updates scheduled about the Tropicana's likelihood of happening every 2 weeks. The blog posts will pop up on June 3rd at 8:45 AM, June 17th at 8:45 AM & July 1st at 6:00 PM.

The next update will be up on March 11 at 8:45 AM. Until then, be on the lookout for Google+ posts on #frirnd.

Why Schindler & KONE make the best traction lifts

Over the past 2 & a half years of filming lifts at different buildings all over the Eastern Seaboard, I have managed to film a handful of OTIS, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp & KONE traction lifts. Here is my assumption: Schindler & KONE make the best traction & MRL traction lifts of any of the 4 major lift brands. Of course, this could be based on personal bias, but it doesn’t go without knowledge that Schindler lifts, are in fact, more efficient time-based than let’s say, ThyssenKrupp lifts. Here are some things that I really love about Schindler & KONE traction lifts. Their fast acceleration / leveling It is no surprise that Schindler & KONE have some of the fastest average accelerating rates of any major lift brand. This is because Schindler & KONE have a perfect reference-tackle system, which is almost unbeatable by standards of other lift brands. One thing I have noticed when riding Schindler lifts is even at low speeds (200-400 FPM), you head feels like...

Found the source of the problems with my PC

I am proud to finally tell y’all that I believe I have found a definite source of the problems I have been experiencing with my Windows PC over the past few days. It was because of a faulty Windows 10 preview update which was affecting the Windows 10 Recovery Environment. Luckily, I have found a trustworthy program (free of malware) which I could use to debug errors in my PC at any time, minor or major. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s happened when I tried to fix windows PC’s in the past. I am still taking  every precaution possible to further decrease the chance of my Windows PC breaking down or crashing. As a matter of fact, my PC almost crashed  this morning , but luckily, I was able to hard-restart the PC to get it working again by holding the power button down for 15-20 seconds. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s h...

THE OTIS IN ANAHEIM

Before writing this report, let me quickly give you some background on the lifts and escalators that I have seen during my time at DisneyLand in Anaheim, California with my family. Brief Overview While I was at DisneyLand in Anaheim, I have encountered four sets of very tall MontgomeryKONE escalators, a set of two very fast MontgomeryKONE traction units (partially outdoor as the first landing had a rear door that opened on the outside of the building), this OTIS hydro here that I managed to ride and film & another OTIS hydro that I didn’t get to ride nor film. These lifts, regardless, were still very awesome lifts, but for now, I will be going into a description of this amazing lift. What made this lift so amazing? This particular lift is so amazing because it’s a full-blown commercial hydraulic lift installed fully outdoors , which is rather unusual for an outdoor lift. This alone made it amazing. Upon first glance, it looks like a pretty standard lift that you would typical...
