What to expect in Atlantic City

In Atlantic City, my hopes are to film THREE GOOD LIFTS at the Tropicana hotel AT MINIMUM! This means I will hopefully revisit the Montgomery lift in the casino, the Haughton / Schindler lifts in the north tower & the KONE / Montgomery lifts in the west tower. Do not expect any lift videos from any other hotels besides the Tropicana hotel. Any other lifts I get the opportunity to film in Atlantic City will be bonus surprise lift videos. There may be a chance that I could walk over to some of the other lower-rising buildings along the boardwalk at anytime during my trip to Atlantic City to film some interesting hydraulic or other MRL traction lifts. I am just excited for the Tropicana lifts. Additionally, other lift videos from Clinton Township will be up as opening lift videos for the big lift galore of the summer, which is going up on my YouTube Channel on August 12, at 8:45 AM. I will have no more plans to film lifts for the rest of the summer until AFTER September 8 . After...

New ideas for additions to CCRS

This past week, I have been nothing but impressed with the lifts I have encountered, ridden & filmed in Clinton & Annandale, NJ. In fact, I was so impressed with the lifts that I have decided to write a JOURNAL POST about the two sets of lifts I’ve filmed. 1980’s OTIS scenic lifts, Beaver Brook office building in Annandale The 1980s OTIS scenic lifts I filmed in Annandale were the equivalent of all the hydraulic lifts I filmed in Elizabeth narrowed down to 1 small lift. That’s how awesome the lift was. After first initially riding it a few times in Wednesday, July 18, I knew the next day, I absolutely had to film it as it was the perfect lift to film! So far, I have ridden two sets of lifts in Annandale, my current borough of residence inside of Clinton Township, NJ. The first lift I filmed was a KONE GAL hydraulic which in 2016 completely replaced a 1950s hydraulic unit, most likely from Haughton or OTIS. The signs of character included a bouncy downward start, typical fo...

RADICAL CHANGE TO CCRS

After filming some even more high quality, high character lifts in Secaucus yesterday, I am now planning to do a major revamp to CCRS, giving under-placed cities & towns on my list higher placements . Currently, the placements of each city in CCRS (which the exception of those in North Carolina) are not respective of how good the lifts are. I simply based their placements in the order which I discovered the cities, which could spell disaster when my graduation trip is around the corner. The placements of each city on CCRS are currently like this: Charlotte Asheville Indianapolis Saint Louis Kansas City San Diego San Francisco Sacramento LA Houston Dallas San Antonio Austin Plano Frisco Fort Lauderdale Miami Orlando Tampa Sarasota Atlanta Pittsburgh Milwaukee Chicago Hartford New Haven Stamford White Plains Rochester Buffalo Atlantic City Secaucus Elizabeth Freehold* Morristown* After filming such awesome lifts in Secaucus yesterday, I have r...

Found the source of the problems with my PC

I am proud to finally tell y’all that I believe I have found a definite source of the problems I have been experiencing with my Windows PC over the past few days. It was because of a faulty Windows 10 preview update which was affecting the Windows 10 Recovery Environment. Luckily, I have found a trustworthy program (free of malware) which I could use to debug errors in my PC at any time, minor or major. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s happened when I tried to fix windows PC’s in the past. I am still taking  every precaution possible to further decrease the chance of my Windows PC breaking down or crashing. As a matter of fact, my PC almost crashed  this morning , but luckily, I was able to hard-restart the PC to get it working again by holding the power button down for 15-20 seconds. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s h...

WE ARE GOING TO THE TROPICANA!!! :)

Words cannot describe how excited I was when I found out that we are going to be  staying at the Tropicana hotel in Atlantic City via the email. The level of excitement I have experienced was similar to the level of excitement I had when I filmed my first destination dispatch lift in New York City back in 2016. The Tropicana Hotel has  FIVE towers: North tower South tower West tower, which has the  best  set of high rise lifts in the entire state of NJ Chelsey tower (separate from the main hotel complex) Havana tower, which has the  least interesting high rise lifts I am at a  loss of words  right now, because I am trying to contain the excitement & enthusiasm. Of course, I cannot be  too excited because reservations could cancel or fall through at  any time before August 5 through 8, meaning I will have no choice but to make visits to Secaucus TWICE OR GO TO ELIZABETH 3 TIMES to film lifts. Here is what I know: Whenever I h...

Windows PC problems

I have unfortunate news that my Windows PC broke down during a system reset when I tried to cleanly reset my Windows 10 PC back to original factory settings. Unfortunately, when doing so, I was hit with an error & was hit with the same error THREE TIMES IN A ROW! I then had to go to Windows Defender to try to reset my PC. Hornrt angels are with me while I wait for the untimely demise of Windows Defender . Either way, I will make every attempt I could to get my Windows PC fixed BEFORE WE GO TO THE TROPICANA HOTEL IN ATLANTIC CITY. Furthermore, the iPad is going to be reserved as my emergency computer whenever my Windows PC stops working . Windows 10 not working is one of the reasons why I am considering re-imaging the PCs in my house to LINUX, one way or the other. I want to stop fully depending on Windows for personal computing & turn to a much more frirndly & stable computing environment such as LINUX, that way, I could have fewer breakdowns, LESS DOWNTIME & more...

Atlantic City follow-up verdict: July 10

It is now July 15, 2018 & we still do not have a single clue about when we are going to Atlantic City or anywhere else in CCRS which ranks above Secaucus . Due to the unfortunate circumstances of uncertainty, I am going to have to continue writing follow-up journal/book posts practically every few days until August (hopefully not). Once reservations go through, I will then be able to provide you with accurate insight of us going to Atlantic City, Hartford, or Pittsburgh. Do not expect us to go to THESE CITIES: As of right now, we are not going to any of the following proposed cities on CCRS for this summer: Atlanta Fort Lauderdale LA In the meantime, once September hits, I will be working on a CCRS graduation trip project where I do research on the top 5 most basic lifts in each & every city on CCRS. I expect to have a lot of fun doing this project, as I will mostly be using Google Docs to complete the project & Google Slides to present my findings on the journal...

Possible new additions to CCRS

After watching videos of lifts from many cities, towns & townships in Nevada, I have became overly fascinated by my findings. I paid attention to the smallest details in each video I watched. Here are my findings: Broad variety of different models of lifts in Las Vegas EPIC modern / vintage lifts in Reno I have came to the conclusion that Las Vegas & Reno are deserving of high ranking spots on CCRS, including: Reno on #11 spot & Las Vegas on #10 spot. I am still a little bit iffy on adding Tucson to the list because I haven’t watched too many of their lift videos, but if I am impressed with what I see in the videos, Tucson is going on as #12 on CCRS. Additionally, I expect to add a couple more cities in UPSTATE New York to CCRS by 9.1.18 Although New York City is the major reason why New York State may never end up on CCRS, I want to add a number of cities in New York with good lifts to CCRS. Additionally, I am thinking of adding some cities, towns & town...

Using WordPress & Blogger for lift criticism & filming videos

I am happy to introduce WordPress in addition to Blogger! WordPress is the most popular  & most robust free blogging program on the internet currently available today. I will still  use Blogger, but I will use WordPress alongside  Blogger & a link to the book  will be made available on the sidebar shortly. Unlike Blogger , WordPress allows you to blog on many more platforms, including, but not limited to (Bold & underlined text are devices & services that I have & use in my household. Italic text are devices & services that are school offerings): Google Chrome Windows PCs Macs Chromebooks Android phones iPads iPhones Android tablets Web-browsers Where can I use WordPress? I can use WordPress on the family iPad whenever we are on the road  & the trip is more than an hour long. I could use the time to effectively write update blog posts on the road, something I CAN’T do in Blogger  without using the Google Chrome ap...

Schindler 330A HT Standard Lift Criticism

It is argued  within the lift filming community  that the Schindler 330A is one of the most boring modern lifts on the market to film. Well, in response to a lot of roasting of the Schindler HT & 330A hydraulic lift product by a  slew  of lift photographers, I have created this book post as an adverse reaction to that claim & here I am going to give you examples which contrast to the beliefs of the US Lift filming community. They have NO character! This is absolutely  NOT TRUE!  The Schindler 330A may look boring because it’s a standard lift you see in every day low rise buildings nowadays, but there are very interesting hidden elements within the 330A lift that any ordinary lift photographer wouldn’t be willing to pay attention to, including: Squeaky doors Instantaneous acceleration, deceleration & mild plop leveling Loud motors Runaway floor indicators And quite frankly, while I was filming the Schindler 330A HT lift you see in t...

Atlantic City follow-up verdict: We might go!

As of right now, we might go! That's right frirnds! We are most likely going to Atlantic City. Unfortunately, it won't be July, it may be the beginning of August. The proposed trip is supposed to take place from Sunday, August 5 to Wednesday, August 8 . If we actually DO end up going, I hope not to stay in the Borgata hotel as there is the least diversity in their lifts, aside from a few outstandingly epic 2 to 3-story hydros & the rocket OTIS lifts in their north tower. Here are the possible hotels I could be staying at: Ocean City Resort & Casino Bally's Harrah's Resort's Casino & Hotel Hard Rock Caesar's Resort Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Hilton Hotel Showboat Hotel As of right now, I do not have any explicit  plans to film any specific lifts in Atlantic City, as either reservations haven't  been made, or I haven't found out about the details of the reservations if it was already ordered. My only goal is to film at least o...

Freehold TWP may end up on the Charlotte Kingdom & Charlotte Kingdom WILL GET A NEW NAME

CCRS: Charlotte Carolinas Ranking System After gaining information through videos & verbal descriptions by a lift enthusiast based in central NJ who knows a lot about the lifts in Freehold TWP from past experience, I have been raving about its positive potential to the Charlotte Kingdom if it were to be added. But what could be missing from Freehold keeping its explicit spot empty? It theoretically cannot be that far behind #33 Ranking on CCRS Based on the description of Freehold given by the lift filmer Elevating Central NJ by Garden State Elevators , I have started gaining good feelings for Freehold & have even had the opportunity to pay attention by watching some VIDEOS of basic  lifts in Freehold TWP. Based on information I have received from Elevating Central NJ by Garden State Elevators, I have been able to conclude that the basic lifts include: 1980s/90s/2000s OTIS Series 1 (mostly hydraulic), once again basic lifts you can see in higher ranking cities on CC...

Final Verdict (Atlantic City will have residual update journal posts)

Final statistics: Atlantic City (31): On the fence Hartford (25): On the fence Fort Lauderdale (16): Incredibly unlikely / borderline impossible Los Angeles (9): Incredibly unlikely / borderline impossible Hudson County, Airport & Meadowlands Area (32 and lower): Extremely likely Atlanta (21): Incredibly unlikely / borderline impossible Pittsburgh (22): Very unlikely Concluding with these statistics, it can be safely said that a trip to Fort Lauderdale, LA or Atlanta this summer is NOT HAPPENING! However, there is no black and white verdict for Pittsburgh, Atlantic City, or Hartford, which will result in follow-up verdicts  for those cities throughout the month of July & possibly through the month of August as well. Philadelphia is not going on the Charlotte Kingdom until I have ridden multiple lifts  in that city (that does not mean I have to FILM it) . Here are the summer plans: Plan A: Spend 3 days MINIMUM  in Atlantic City in any hotel EXCEPT...
