Columbus Day weekend POSSIBLE LIFT FILMING ITINERARY, with a possible lift filming itinerary during NJEA

YAIAO FOLKS! This time I am writing to inform y’all about a possible short lift filming itinerary that may possibly take place this weekend in Monmouth County, a to-be new addition to the Charlotte Carolina Ranking System as of October 27.

WLB Borough

That’s right, I will be going to the WLB Borough on October 7 for a college tour at Monmouth University. Depending on how interested I am or how willing I am to ride the lifts, I may attempt to take a picture of one or two of 1 of the lifts & share it on Google+ (Atlantic City left a bitter taste in my desire to film lifts outside of Clinton Township on non-solo trips anyway). I currently have NO SPECIFIC plans to film lifts anywhere in Monmouth County, I just hope to get one snapshot of ONE of the lifts I encounter if I encounter any lifts during my college tour.

NJEA Convention

As for NJEA, I have no specific itinerary for filming ANY LIFTS outside of Clinton & Bridgewater Townships. There may be a possibility I will be visiting William Paterson University in Wayne Township, NJ, but there is no guarantee that I will be encountering or filming ANY lifts while I AM in Wayne Township, if I go. I’m also going to Manhattan NY (12-story section) where Columbia University is, but it is highly unlikely I will be filming ANY lifts & being that NYC is definitely my LEAST favorite city to film lifts besides Denver, I won’t really be interested in filming any lifts unless I find a KONE EcoDisc, OTIS Gen2 or a Schindler using Schindler logic. Even if so, I probably won’t even take a picture of that lift!

December plans are still unknown, but if anything, I will be sure to give you usual Friday morning updates about the trip, but I am still certainly NOT EXCITED to go on ANY planned trips within the Charlotte Carolina Ranking System & I will only film the lifts that are within 10-minute walk from my hotel room if I go on ANY trip within the Charlotte Carolina Ranking System over Christmas break.

Additionally, the upcoming October 13 Elizabeth/Secaucus duo lift-filming trip HAS BEEN CANCELED & I have rescheduled it for one of my follow-up graduation trips which I hope takes place during JUNE 2019!

I am signing off now & I will be back at 5:15 PM to discuss current additions to the Charlotte Carolina Ranking System that I have planned for October 27. You may be surprised at the results, since I am thinking of putting STATEN ISLAND (which is a part of New York City) on the list!

Why Schindler & KONE make the best traction lifts

Over the past 2 & a half years of filming lifts at different buildings all over the Eastern Seaboard, I have managed to film a handful of OTIS, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp & KONE traction lifts. Here is my assumption: Schindler & KONE make the best traction & MRL traction lifts of any of the 4 major lift brands. Of course, this could be based on personal bias, but it doesn’t go without knowledge that Schindler lifts, are in fact, more efficient time-based than let’s say, ThyssenKrupp lifts. Here are some things that I really love about Schindler & KONE traction lifts. Their fast acceleration / leveling It is no surprise that Schindler & KONE have some of the fastest average accelerating rates of any major lift brand. This is because Schindler & KONE have a perfect reference-tackle system, which is almost unbeatable by standards of other lift brands. One thing I have noticed when riding Schindler lifts is even at low speeds (200-400 FPM), you head feels like...

THE OTIS IN ANAHEIM

Before writing this report, let me quickly give you some background on the lifts and escalators that I have seen during my time at DisneyLand in Anaheim, California with my family. Brief Overview While I was at DisneyLand in Anaheim, I have encountered four sets of very tall MontgomeryKONE escalators, a set of two very fast MontgomeryKONE traction units (partially outdoor as the first landing had a rear door that opened on the outside of the building), this OTIS hydro here that I managed to ride and film & another OTIS hydro that I didn’t get to ride nor film. These lifts, regardless, were still very awesome lifts, but for now, I will be going into a description of this amazing lift. What made this lift so amazing? This particular lift is so amazing because it’s a full-blown commercial hydraulic lift installed fully outdoors , which is rather unusual for an outdoor lift. This alone made it amazing. Upon first glance, it looks like a pretty standard lift that you would typical...

A QUICK ANALYSIS OF EACH OF THE LIFTS AT BRIDGEWATER MALL IN BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP

I do not have much time to elaborate on every single detail of the lifts at the Bridgewater Mall in Bridgewater Township, so I will try to narrow down my analyses as quick as possible. I have no time to include pictures as visuals either, so you’ll just have to refer to the attached YouTube video below. The Mall itself Bridgewater Commons Mall is a mall from the early 1980’s that has gone through quite a few renovations and expansions over the years. Inside the mall, the original anchors are Macy’s and Bloomingdales, which both have Westinghouse lifts, still fully original to the 1980’s construction project. The carpark was added in during the 1990’s and features the first lift I filmed which was the Dover glass hydraulic. Inside the mall, there is a food court on the third floor with three sets of escalators throughout the main part of the mall, with three more sets inside the multi-level stores (Bloomingdales, Macy’s, and Lord & Taylor). The majority of the escalators are Schin...
