October 27 will hold some of the most intriguing revisions to the CCRS!

Over Columbus Day weekend, I have pre-made some PRETTY SIGNIFICANT changes, additions, revisions & improvements to the Charlotte Carolina Ranking System, including adding new cities, new areas & new bands to make trip planning a lot easier.

New rules

  1. All cities where the name is partially or fully in the area/band on the interactive map are automatically considered a RANKED CITY on the CCRS & will hold the SAME RANKING as the name of the highest directly ranked city on the band’s NAME. However, this doesn’t apply to RMT bands, connector bands, or area joints.
    1. For example, as of October 27, LANCASTER will be in the Philadelphia/Pittsburgh band. Because Pittsburgh is the name of the highest ranked city on the band’s name, Lancaster & all other cities, towns & townships which have their displayed name fall partially or fully in the band will hold the same placement as PITTSBURGH does! Anyway, Lancaster has mostly GOOD LIFTS.
    2. However, if multiple bands are overlapping, then the band with the highest-ranked city in its name will be of ranking consideration for the cities that fall in the overlapping bands. For example, Flemington falls within the Elizabeth/Charlotte RMT band while it also falls within the Clinton Township/Charlotte RMT band. Flemington will automatically receive ELIZABETH’S ranking on the Charlotte Carolina Ranking System INSTEAD OF Clinton Township’s. There is a loophole, however. If the city that fell in the overlapping bands happens to also fall in a ranked AREA, then that city will automatically be crowned the ranking of the CENTRAL CITY, TOWN OR TOWNSHIP of that area. Fort Lauderdale falls on the Charlotte/Fort Lauderdale Band, but since she is a directly ranked city & she is in her own area, she & other cities directly in her color-coded area will get the 30 ranking.
  2. The Charlotte Carolina Ranking System now has bands connecting each other from Boston, all the way down to KEY WEST! You heard that right! As long as you are inside the bands & color-coded areas on the interactive map for Google Maps, you are directly inside the Charlotte Carolina Ranking System.
  3. Dual-area joints will not affect rankings. For example, the Fort Lauderdale/Miami joint has no effect on Fort Lauderdale’s CCRS ranking, or Miami’s!
  4. RMT bands & connectors connect bands to each other. For example, from Elizabeth until Flemington, there is a new band called the Elizabeth/Charlotte RMT band. All cities in the RMT band don’t have their rankings affected, EXCEPT for the ones already in the Charlotte Area, which all have a ranking of 1.
  5. Specific ROUTES will now be considered on the Charlotte Carolina Ranking System as a way of easy or fast access to an area of GRAND LIFTS! So far, the first five routes are Route 31 in Clinton Township, the Atlantic City Expressway, I-287, I-78 & Garden State Expressway.
  6. Anything NEW you see NOW on the map of the Charlotte Carolina Ranking System applies starting the NEXT cycle of revisions, which in this case, is October 27.

The rules have been put in place to clear any misconceptions with city rankings. Additionally, Salt Lake City, Portland & 3 cities in Tennessee now hold official rankings on the Charlotte Carolina Ranking System as of October 27, with Providence RI & a couple of other cities northeast of New York on the consideration list for the additions taking place on December 15 & January 26. Kissimmee has also been added & Lake Buena Vista is under high consideration, as well as Augusta Florida & Lynchburg Virginia.

On a side note, there are more bands being added, changed, or removed over the next two weeks.

A portion of New York City has been ranked last place on the Charlotte Carolina Ranking System. I did this out of generosity, as Staten Island has pretty decent lifts according to videos which have been filmed by suejoshappy. Staten Island is the only borough in NYC that will have an official ranking. Manhattan won’t have one anytime soon & Brooklyn & Queens will still need to watch more lift videos. I am signing off now & I will be back at 2:15 PM to discuss the likelihood of a possible Los Angeles trip which could happen over Thanksgiving weekend. I am not that crazy about it anyway, so I won’t be upset at all if it doesn’t happen! Bye y’all.

Found the source of the problems with my PC

I am proud to finally tell y’all that I believe I have found a definite source of the problems I have been experiencing with my Windows PC over the past few days. It was because of a faulty Windows 10 preview update which was affecting the Windows 10 Recovery Environment. Luckily, I have found a trustworthy program (free of malware) which I could use to debug errors in my PC at any time, minor or major. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s happened when I tried to fix windows PC’s in the past. I am still taking  every precaution possible to further decrease the chance of my Windows PC breaking down or crashing. As a matter of fact, my PC almost crashed  this morning , but luckily, I was able to hard-restart the PC to get it working again by holding the power button down for 15-20 seconds. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s h...

LIFT FILMING AGENDA UPDATE 1.25.2019 & WILL CHICAGO BE CROWNED THE NEW KING?

Chicago holds a high possibility of being crowned first place . What if I told you that Chicago has some rare and exotic lifts that you probably won’t find in many other places in the U.S.? That is an existence a lift filmer will be delighted with when they go to the city of Chicago. My four figures of reference were: WI Sirens and Elevators Elevators of Lake County CHI Elevators Windy City Elevators Because I have found so many outstanding Montgomery, Dover, SchindlerHaughton, Westinghouse and KONE lifts throughout the city of Chicago, it wouldn’t be sensible for me to write it all under one big blog post, because it would be a big waste of time for me to go into big, elaborate detail on what made each lift stand out. What I found on YouTube in terms of Chicago lifts Mitsubishi and Fujitec These lift filmers have walked around the city of Chicago filming some super nice lifts, and in the process of watching YouTube videos over the past few months, I have found that Ch...

QUICK RUNDOWN OF THE NORMAL BEHAVIOR OF A 700A

Tallest 700A’s I have been on Arguably, at 20 stories, these have been the tallest Schindler 700A’s I have EVER been on, and the first I’ve been on in a hotel. However, I have noticed some interesting characteristics of the Schindler 700A in mid to high rise applications. Epic lifts indeed To start off, these lifts had absolutely incredible acceleration, deceleration and leveling. They take off like rockets and travel at a mindblowing speed of 120 meters per minute, despite serving a travel distance of 55-60 meters. The deceleration is similar to the Schindler 700A’s at the Nordstrom store at the Mall at Short Hills, as it smoothly phases into its full deceleration mode. In terms of character, these lifts do tend to make a little bit of noise and shake on the way up and down the tower. Car 3 makes a very loud screeching noise as it accelerates towards level 17 going down, which I find to make the ride even more fun. These lifts were installed in 1993, which gives them even more 199...
