Comparing MAD buttons to Monitor buttons

Over the past five months, I have been noticing a nasty habit with New York City's attitude towards there lifts: they love to use Monitor buttons. A generous portion of America's lift enthusiasts hate Monitor buttons SO MUCH, NYC is therefore there least favorite city to film lifts & I am one of those lift enthusiasts.
Absolutely AWESOME MAD Lift Buttons in Secaucus which you CAN'T find in NYC easily

MAD

MAD is absolutely amazing, concave, convex or California. You name it! There is absolutely no modern day lift button currently in production that half nears as awesome as MAD. My favorites from MAD involve BS (the halo style circle button) & BP (the jewel style circle button). NYC surprisingly has a couple lifts with MAD buttons, however, the known ones are found in the World Trade Center, which makes the World Trade Center the most awesome modern building complex in NYC to film lifts after 2015, although you need permission to be escorted onto the office lifts.

On the bright side, the Holiday Inn Secaucus had Schindler replace there former Dover lifts & during the replacement, Schindler decided to use MAD BS Moon with the Julius mount. For generic lifts, Pittsburgh uses both MAD & Innovation by default.

My experience on the MAD BS lift

When I rode the new Schindler lift, I was absolutely impressed with the lift buttons so much that I just had to continue filming the lift, taking countless pictures of the buttons to send to my FRIRNDS. Unlike Monitor, MAD buttons are absolutely awesome & bring character to even the most boring looking lifts on the face of the planet. If you just look at pictures, you'd think the lifts are from MIAMI!

Monitor

Monitor buttons (aside from the absolutely unique-looking TR 1500 which NYC does not use enough of), look absolutely horrible & a generous portion of the U.S. lift community agrees with this statement. Putting these on the world's prettiest, most beautiful lift will take the beauty away from it in a snap. That's the easiest thing you could do to take all the character away from the lift. Don't get me wrong, in the picture the lifts use Monitor HPS 1300, but at least it's not the crap Monitor TR they put in the high rise buildings nearby!!! Monitor buttons are some of my LEAST favorite lift buttons available on the market today & there genericness & blandness play the biggest role.

Basically, in essence, the Monitor Series buttons (except for PC & TR 1500) have no character, are the most blandest lift buttons in the world & make any lift that much more boring.

This is the biggest reason NYC is my least favorite city to film lifts. In fact, what would make NYC better is if Monitor was prohibited from being contracted for lift buttons in NYC high rise buildings & instead, MAD or Innovation would be contracted by default.

My experience riding in a lift with these buttons

On the traction lifts, I was BORED AS HECK when I rode the lifts with these buttons due to there blandess. Also, NYC uses there own generic style VF logic, which made it even more boring to ride. The hydraulic ones were only a little bit more fun to ride, but the buttons took away almost all of the character.

The conclusion

MAD buttons should be used more often in NYC. If NYC completely switched from Monitor to MAD, then I would consider making them one of the best U.S. cities to film lifts. But for now, while they still use Monitor, they will stay as the number 1 least interesting Western Hemisphere city to film lifts!

Why Schindler & KONE make the best traction lifts

Over the past 2 & a half years of filming lifts at different buildings all over the Eastern Seaboard, I have managed to film a handful of OTIS, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp & KONE traction lifts. Here is my assumption: Schindler & KONE make the best traction & MRL traction lifts of any of the 4 major lift brands. Of course, this could be based on personal bias, but it doesn’t go without knowledge that Schindler lifts, are in fact, more efficient time-based than let’s say, ThyssenKrupp lifts. Here are some things that I really love about Schindler & KONE traction lifts. Their fast acceleration / leveling It is no surprise that Schindler & KONE have some of the fastest average accelerating rates of any major lift brand. This is because Schindler & KONE have a perfect reference-tackle system, which is almost unbeatable by standards of other lift brands. One thing I have noticed when riding Schindler lifts is even at low speeds (200-400 FPM), you head feels like...

Found the source of the problems with my PC

I am proud to finally tell y’all that I believe I have found a definite source of the problems I have been experiencing with my Windows PC over the past few days. It was because of a faulty Windows 10 preview update which was affecting the Windows 10 Recovery Environment. Luckily, I have found a trustworthy program (free of malware) which I could use to debug errors in my PC at any time, minor or major. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s happened when I tried to fix windows PC’s in the past. I am still taking  every precaution possible to further decrease the chance of my Windows PC breaking down or crashing. As a matter of fact, my PC almost crashed  this morning , but luckily, I was able to hard-restart the PC to get it working again by holding the power button down for 15-20 seconds. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s h...

THE OTIS IN ANAHEIM

Before writing this report, let me quickly give you some background on the lifts and escalators that I have seen during my time at DisneyLand in Anaheim, California with my family. Brief Overview While I was at DisneyLand in Anaheim, I have encountered four sets of very tall MontgomeryKONE escalators, a set of two very fast MontgomeryKONE traction units (partially outdoor as the first landing had a rear door that opened on the outside of the building), this OTIS hydro here that I managed to ride and film & another OTIS hydro that I didn’t get to ride nor film. These lifts, regardless, were still very awesome lifts, but for now, I will be going into a description of this amazing lift. What made this lift so amazing? This particular lift is so amazing because it’s a full-blown commercial hydraulic lift installed fully outdoors , which is rather unusual for an outdoor lift. This alone made it amazing. Upon first glance, it looks like a pretty standard lift that you would typical...
