Extremely boring time in New York City today

Yesterday, I think I have experienced one of the most boring high speed lifts I have ridden all year. Listen, I have been on 2-story hydros this year, 3-story hydros, even a Kone EcoDisc going 50 meters per minute! I will say this, the lift I rode today was the most boring one I have ridden all year.

Battery Carpark NYC

Listen guys. When comparing the Battery Carpark with other higher rising, higher-speed generic lifts nearby, the Battery Carpark is no big disappointment. After all, it's not using Monitor TR 1000, not using Monitor TR 1500 (which really is a disappointment), not using EPCO SSL (which is a bloody darn relief), or even Monitor TR of any kind (which was the ONLY ONE REASON why I didn't spew my guts out).

Like the majority of the high rise generic lifts throughout NYC, the lifts I rode (boring ones) were actually built by Fujitec! I DIDN'T even want to film the lift to begin with because it would get almost zero views on my YouTube channel. However, I did film it & I got 12 seconds of footage. I even took two considerably good pictures of the lift's buttons, which were sick Monitor HPS 1300. THANK GOD CHARLOTTE (my favorite city to film lifts) DOESN'T HAVE THIS ON ANY OF HER LIFTS & I WATCHED 120 VIDEOS OF HER LIFTS ON YOUTUBE!!!!!!!!! To top that all off, it was traction! WHO ON THE WORLD OF HECK BUILDS A TRACTION LIFT THAT HAS ZERO CHARACTER!? This is one of the reasons why NYC is my number one disliked city to film lifts out of the entire Western Hemisphere.

WTC Mall

After the inexcusably boring experience on the lifts at the Battery Car Park, I became more disappointed when the line for the observatory tower was over three hours long (once again what the heck), so then I went down to the mall of the WTC. There, I was greeted by two circular glass lifts, one at each end of the large atrium. Since the buttons were once again horse poop Monitor HPS 1300, I decided to use the stairs to get down to the lower level of the mall. That worked out fine & dandy, as we had to get to the restrooms anyway. THANK GOD THE RESTROOM LINES WERE WAY TOO LONG so that I could have the opportunity to check out the lift next to the restrooms.

The lift was a hydraulic, scenic OTIS with Innovation Prestige. Innovation is pretty rare in NYC & any lift with Innovation buttons is a must-film. However, since there were a bunch of security guards standing by the lift at all four floors, I decided not to film the lift & instead ride it. The lift was so epic that I rode it a few more times before leaving the mall.

Conclusion

After riding that lift, along with a few other lifts during my March visit to the WTC, I will have to say, where NYC has the tallest known high rises out of any U.S. city, the hydraulic lifts are more fun to ride. Usually, you would think a high speed lift is more fun to ride in such a major city, but nope. The hydraulic lifts are the ones that truly have character.

Why Schindler & KONE make the best traction lifts

Over the past 2 & a half years of filming lifts at different buildings all over the Eastern Seaboard, I have managed to film a handful of OTIS, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp & KONE traction lifts. Here is my assumption: Schindler & KONE make the best traction & MRL traction lifts of any of the 4 major lift brands. Of course, this could be based on personal bias, but it doesn’t go without knowledge that Schindler lifts, are in fact, more efficient time-based than let’s say, ThyssenKrupp lifts. Here are some things that I really love about Schindler & KONE traction lifts. Their fast acceleration / leveling It is no surprise that Schindler & KONE have some of the fastest average accelerating rates of any major lift brand. This is because Schindler & KONE have a perfect reference-tackle system, which is almost unbeatable by standards of other lift brands. One thing I have noticed when riding Schindler lifts is even at low speeds (200-400 FPM), you head feels like...

Found the source of the problems with my PC

I am proud to finally tell y’all that I believe I have found a definite source of the problems I have been experiencing with my Windows PC over the past few days. It was because of a faulty Windows 10 preview update which was affecting the Windows 10 Recovery Environment. Luckily, I have found a trustworthy program (free of malware) which I could use to debug errors in my PC at any time, minor or major. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s happened when I tried to fix windows PC’s in the past. I am still taking  every precaution possible to further decrease the chance of my Windows PC breaking down or crashing. As a matter of fact, my PC almost crashed  this morning , but luckily, I was able to hard-restart the PC to get it working again by holding the power button down for 15-20 seconds. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s h...

THE OTIS IN ANAHEIM

Before writing this report, let me quickly give you some background on the lifts and escalators that I have seen during my time at DisneyLand in Anaheim, California with my family. Brief Overview While I was at DisneyLand in Anaheim, I have encountered four sets of very tall MontgomeryKONE escalators, a set of two very fast MontgomeryKONE traction units (partially outdoor as the first landing had a rear door that opened on the outside of the building), this OTIS hydro here that I managed to ride and film & another OTIS hydro that I didn’t get to ride nor film. These lifts, regardless, were still very awesome lifts, but for now, I will be going into a description of this amazing lift. What made this lift so amazing? This particular lift is so amazing because it’s a full-blown commercial hydraulic lift installed fully outdoors , which is rather unusual for an outdoor lift. This alone made it amazing. Upon first glance, it looks like a pretty standard lift that you would typical...
