School is back in session! What to expect for the rest of 2018

The school year has officially begun an hour and 5 minutes ago. It’s going to be a very long and exciting (hopefully so) school year. Graduation day is in 9 months and 3 weeks from today. While there may be a slight chance I may not be able to graduate in 42 weeks from today, I will be working harder than I ever could have imagined in my past 3 years of high school to maximize the chances of me graduating and getting my diploma this upcoming June 2019! Here is what you NEED TO KNOW about my lift filming itinerary for the next 3 months & further:

  • I have canceled my prior autumn plans to film lifts in Elizabeth, Secaucus & every other city besides Clinton, Bridgewater & Lebanon Townships until I can physically drive to those places on my own, unless my PARENTS planned the trip to one of those cities, in that case, I may not film any lifts during any of those trips.
  • I MAY be going to Scranton in December 2018, but that doesn’t mean I’m going there for lift filming! I will only film the lift in the hotel I’m staying at, if I’m even staying in a hotel. Any other lifts that I get the opportunity to film in Scranton may count as bonus lift videos.
  • I have plans to film lifts in Clinton Township through the autumn, including Lebanon Township at least once before December 2018.
  • There are no plans to film lifts in Secaucus until further notice.
  • The only time I may film a lift in Elizabeth is if we go to Newark Airport, or IKEA. I will NOT film any other lifts in any other buildings besides Newark Airport or IKEA unless otherwise noted.
  • For my graduation trip, I have widened the range all the way to Freehold Township & I have condensed it into a day trip, instead of a 4-day-trip, therefore, I can film lifts right after I exit the graduation ceremony. If in the event I can drive in-state by the time I am graduating, unsupervised, there may be a possibility that I could visit ELIZABETH after I am finished filming lifts in Freehold Township, to make up for the proposed Charlotte trip I had idealized back in January 2018.
  • I have also canceled the high school graduation trip project & postponed my research for the Computer Science bachelor’s degree graduation trip project. The top candidate cities for my college graduation trip are now Charlotte and Atlantic City, with Houston and Fort Lauderdale being other possible getaway cities during my college graduation trip. For my high school graduation trip, the furthest I am going from Clinton Township is Freehold Township, and that’s probably if I am able to drive unsupervised, in-state, on my own by the time graduation hits the corner.

Additionally, for the fourth quarter of 2018, I will not be filming many lifts as Clinton Township only has a FEW buildings with lifts in it anyway. I MAY NOT go to Hartford this December anyway, and nor do I want to, after the drama that went down in Atlantic City. You can thank the drama that went down in Atlantic City this past month for a loss of motivation to film lifts anywhere outside of Clinton & Bridgewater Townships.

As for my YouTube channel, because I will be working hard to keep my grades in class higher than a C, there will be regular periods of time (1 to 3 consecutive days), or extended periods of time (up to 45 days), where I am not going to be on YouTube. I will be on YouTube for limited amounts of time on school nights, but on the weekend (Friday through Sunday), I will still continue writing the usual weekend journal posts, as well as watching lift videos on YouTube & continue building prototype lifts on ROBLOX on weekends that I am NOT filming lifts in Clinton Township. If there is an event where I am going to film a lift outside of Clinton Township, you will know about it in a RISING HORNRT post, morning of.

As for now, I am signing off & I will be back tonight, at 5:15 PM to bring you update posts of a possible Scranton or Hartford trip this upcoming Christmas week off of school.

Why Schindler & KONE make the best traction lifts

Over the past 2 & a half years of filming lifts at different buildings all over the Eastern Seaboard, I have managed to film a handful of OTIS, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp & KONE traction lifts. Here is my assumption: Schindler & KONE make the best traction & MRL traction lifts of any of the 4 major lift brands. Of course, this could be based on personal bias, but it doesn’t go without knowledge that Schindler lifts, are in fact, more efficient time-based than let’s say, ThyssenKrupp lifts. Here are some things that I really love about Schindler & KONE traction lifts. Their fast acceleration / leveling It is no surprise that Schindler & KONE have some of the fastest average accelerating rates of any major lift brand. This is because Schindler & KONE have a perfect reference-tackle system, which is almost unbeatable by standards of other lift brands. One thing I have noticed when riding Schindler lifts is even at low speeds (200-400 FPM), you head feels like...

THE OTIS IN ANAHEIM

Before writing this report, let me quickly give you some background on the lifts and escalators that I have seen during my time at DisneyLand in Anaheim, California with my family. Brief Overview While I was at DisneyLand in Anaheim, I have encountered four sets of very tall MontgomeryKONE escalators, a set of two very fast MontgomeryKONE traction units (partially outdoor as the first landing had a rear door that opened on the outside of the building), this OTIS hydro here that I managed to ride and film & another OTIS hydro that I didn’t get to ride nor film. These lifts, regardless, were still very awesome lifts, but for now, I will be going into a description of this amazing lift. What made this lift so amazing? This particular lift is so amazing because it’s a full-blown commercial hydraulic lift installed fully outdoors , which is rather unusual for an outdoor lift. This alone made it amazing. Upon first glance, it looks like a pretty standard lift that you would typical...
