What to expect in Atlantic City from tomorrow to Wednesday

Tonight, many lift videos from the northern part of NJ are going up on my YouTube Channel. These lift videos are going up on my YouTube Channel at 5:15 PM tonight. Cities from CCRS going on YouTube tonight are Elizabeth (6), Clinton (9), Jersey City (2S+) & Secaucus (5). I will be using lift videos that I have already uploaded to YouTube earlier this summer FROM STRICTLY ONLY NEW JERSEY in the opening Atlantic City video & these videos will be trimmed to the best moments only. I worked as hard as I could on this opening video & I hope this opening video will serve its purpose!

Which lifts are going up on my YouTube Channel?

  • Embassy Suites in Elizabeth (KONE HORNRT DISC)
  • Embassy Suites in Secaucus (KONE MCE)
  • Beaver Brook in Annandale (OTIS Series 1 hydros, 80s)
  • Undisclosed location in uptown Jersey City (1926 Gurney MB Generic GAL)

These lifts I have filmed over the past month & a half have LC ratings of standard lifts anyone can find easily in Atlantic City, which is 10/15, with the exception of the Jersey City lift, which gets a 4/15, the lowest recorded rating of a standard traction lift within a CCRS-direct state or city. The opening video will be up in 8 and a half hours! In the meantime, if you’d like to play ROBLOX with me at RFS TESTING HOUSE, my username is doofenshmirtz115 & I will be happy to explain to you some of the lift projects I am working on in my display office building. I am going to deliver frequent update posts on RISING HORNRTS on G+, which will give you updates on what is happening tomorrow morning. These update posts will continue throughout the day & night and into tomorrow morning. I will also be writing mini update journal posts on the way down to Atlantic City tomorrow, which will be about a paragraph or two long each. These mini journal posts will consist of updates on which lifts I could film.
While waiting for the videos to go up on my YouTube Channel, be patient! Watch a movie or something, or send me e-mails on my gmail at prosperouspenguins@gmail.com. The 8 and a half hours will fly by in no time. Because I cannot give you SPECIFIC details on which lifts I DEFINITELY WILL and DEFINITELY WON’T film, you will have to be patient throughout my 4 days in Atlantic City. After each few sets of lifts I film and re-film during my time in Atlantic City, I will post updates on THE RISING HORNRT community on Google+. You should consider joining if:

  • You are interested in making this lift galore a worthwile journey
  • You are interested in learning about Atlantic City’s future placement on CCRS
  • You are interested in plans for filming lifts

In addition, I MAY NOT film ANY MORE LIFTS between now and my journey to Atlantic City tomorrow morning, unless I get lucky and visit one of these four buildings:

  • Beaver Brook office building on Route 31 in Annandale
  • Holiday Inn in Clinton
  • Hampton Inn in Clinton
  • Clinton Township Municipal Building in Annandale

If I make it to any one of these four buildings before tomorrow morning, lift videos after the opening video will count as the official opening video for Atlantic City, which will be up on my channel at 8:45 AM tomorrow morning. I will likely already be on the road TO Atlantic City BEFORE then (I may POSSIBLY be in Elizabeth by the time that video goes up if it does, OR Flemington if I take backroads with my family). I WILL NOT go to Elizabeth or Secaucus at ANY TIME between today and tomorrow, unless I am driving through Elizabeth. I will film the drive through Elizabeth IF I PASS THROUGH THAT TOWN & it may count as one of the clips for the closing video to Atlantic City, before the final lift galore directly in Atlantic City or May’s Landing go up on August 12, at 8:45 AM. Further plans will be discussed regarding future lift videos BESIDES THE PROPOSED DECEMBER HPSEFM TRIP. I was not able to make it to Secaucus, Elizabeth, Freehold Township or Morristown at all between my July 14 Secaucus lift galore and now, so that’s why I’m using local lift videos to serve as the opening lift video for my Atlantic City lift galore on August 12. But, because I am so impressed with the lifts I DID get to film in Clinton Township (with the exception of a 2-story hydro in the municipal building), I was able to officially add Clinton as a recognized township on CCRS. While you are waiting for the opening video for Atlantic City, I have provided you with a link to a Kahoot and a Quizlet for your entertainment.

Kahoot and Quizlet

As a complement to the trip to Atlantic City beginning tomorrow, I have gotten the opportunity to RE-FILM the glass OTIS Series 1 lifts in Clinton Township earlier this week, which will serve as the complement video for the trip. The video is scheduled to go up on YouTube by 8:45 AM. By that time, I will either have started the journey with my family to Atlantic City, or I will have finished packing & be starting the journey down to Atlantic City shortly. I plan to be in Atlantic City BEFORE 5:15 PM, which is likely the time I plan to film my first lift, if I am able to. During the course of the trip, do not expect me to film MANY lifts or be filming lifts a lot. However, I will use spare time to film the lifts & enjoy the rarer lifts that not many American lift photographers get to enjoy. Whatever I don’t film in Atlantic City which is on my film list for this trip is automatically added onto the consideration list for my graduation trip, if Atlantic City is the city of choice for my graduation trip. Currently, there is no possibility of me making it to the Caesar’s hotel to film their selection of Schindler and Westinghouse lifts, but even if I was able to go to Caesar’s, I would only want to go to film their ultra rare 1990’s Schindler MRL.

Why Schindler & KONE make the best traction lifts

Over the past 2 & a half years of filming lifts at different buildings all over the Eastern Seaboard, I have managed to film a handful of OTIS, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp & KONE traction lifts. Here is my assumption: Schindler & KONE make the best traction & MRL traction lifts of any of the 4 major lift brands. Of course, this could be based on personal bias, but it doesn’t go without knowledge that Schindler lifts, are in fact, more efficient time-based than let’s say, ThyssenKrupp lifts. Here are some things that I really love about Schindler & KONE traction lifts. Their fast acceleration / leveling It is no surprise that Schindler & KONE have some of the fastest average accelerating rates of any major lift brand. This is because Schindler & KONE have a perfect reference-tackle system, which is almost unbeatable by standards of other lift brands. One thing I have noticed when riding Schindler lifts is even at low speeds (200-400 FPM), you head feels like...

Found the source of the problems with my PC

I am proud to finally tell y’all that I believe I have found a definite source of the problems I have been experiencing with my Windows PC over the past few days. It was because of a faulty Windows 10 preview update which was affecting the Windows 10 Recovery Environment. Luckily, I have found a trustworthy program (free of malware) which I could use to debug errors in my PC at any time, minor or major. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s happened when I tried to fix windows PC’s in the past. I am still taking  every precaution possible to further decrease the chance of my Windows PC breaking down or crashing. As a matter of fact, my PC almost crashed  this morning , but luckily, I was able to hard-restart the PC to get it working again by holding the power button down for 15-20 seconds. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s h...

THE OTIS IN ANAHEIM

Before writing this report, let me quickly give you some background on the lifts and escalators that I have seen during my time at DisneyLand in Anaheim, California with my family. Brief Overview While I was at DisneyLand in Anaheim, I have encountered four sets of very tall MontgomeryKONE escalators, a set of two very fast MontgomeryKONE traction units (partially outdoor as the first landing had a rear door that opened on the outside of the building), this OTIS hydro here that I managed to ride and film & another OTIS hydro that I didn’t get to ride nor film. These lifts, regardless, were still very awesome lifts, but for now, I will be going into a description of this amazing lift. What made this lift so amazing? This particular lift is so amazing because it’s a full-blown commercial hydraulic lift installed fully outdoors , which is rather unusual for an outdoor lift. This alone made it amazing. Upon first glance, it looks like a pretty standard lift that you would typical...
