The future of my lift filming career

For now, I am temporarily putting my career of lift filming on hold, after the fiasco that happened during this past Atlantic City trip, and a few other major trips to Fort Lauderdale, Atlantic City, and “Hartford” in the past. This past trip to Atlantic City determined the fate of my lift filming career for now. While I am very happy with the footage I got in Atlantic City (I was only expecting to get one film of ONE OF THE HIGH RISE SETS OF LIFTS ANYWAY), there were other aspects I would prefer not to talk about (as such happened in the February 2017 Fort Lauderdale/Miami trip which almost made the 6 story Dover HIGHdraulic lifts a part of my history), which is making me want to STOP filming lifts for now.

When will I start filming lifts outside of Clinton/Lebanon Township again?

As of right now, I have canceled MOST future plans to film lifts ANYWHERE out of Clinton, Lebanon & MAYBE Bridgewater Township, from now until I can either start driving or until 2.15.2020. So far, here are some of the big future trips for filming lifts that I have CANCELED because of THIS VERY PAST ATLANTIC CITY TRIP:

  • Elizabeth *3, Autumn 2018
  • Secaucus *2, Autumn 2018
  • 9.15.2018 trip to Elizabeth
  • ALL self-planned Scranton trips between now & 4.14.2019
  • Pittsburgh, December 2018
  • Hartford, December 2018, unless the planning is not my business to do
  • 1.19.2019 trip to Secaucus
  • 2.8-10.2019 trip to Atlantic City, Hartford, OR Pittsburgh
  • 4.20 & 27.2019 trips to Elizabeth
  • 5.25.2019 trip to Freehold Township
  • STILL NOT CANCELED: 6.13/14.2019 Pre-Graduation trip to Freehold Township
  • 7.10-14.2019 Graduation trip to Charlotte OR Atlantic City
  • 12.21-23.2019 Six-month post-graduation trip to Hartford

Furthermore, if I get my driver’s license at anytime before 2.15.2020, or I can legally and physically drive ON MY OWN, OUT-OF-STATE, before 2.15.2020, I will uphold all future cancellations for lift filming from that day forward, for trips I am capable of making on my own. I have postponed my high school graduation trip to my Computer Science Bachelor’s Degree / College graduation celebration trip, and the desired city will STILL BE CHARLOTTE OR ATLANTIC CITY. Unless the planning is not a result of my own desire to go to a CCRS-ranking city, town, township, county, region, or area, I will not voluntarily make plans to go there unless I can physically drive there on my own. Additionally, if there are plans (not my own wish) to go to those CCRS-ranking places, I will only film the lifts in the hotel, apartment building, condo, or rental house that I am PHYSICALLY sleeping in, for I may have no other interest in going to any other building to film the lifts, unless I can get to another building, PHYSICALLY, on my own!

Future plans to film lifts for now are solely in Clinton & POSSIBLY Bridgewater Townships.

Why Schindler & KONE make the best traction lifts

Over the past 2 & a half years of filming lifts at different buildings all over the Eastern Seaboard, I have managed to film a handful of OTIS, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp & KONE traction lifts. Here is my assumption: Schindler & KONE make the best traction & MRL traction lifts of any of the 4 major lift brands. Of course, this could be based on personal bias, but it doesn’t go without knowledge that Schindler lifts, are in fact, more efficient time-based than let’s say, ThyssenKrupp lifts. Here are some things that I really love about Schindler & KONE traction lifts. Their fast acceleration / leveling It is no surprise that Schindler & KONE have some of the fastest average accelerating rates of any major lift brand. This is because Schindler & KONE have a perfect reference-tackle system, which is almost unbeatable by standards of other lift brands. One thing I have noticed when riding Schindler lifts is even at low speeds (200-400 FPM), you head feels like...

Found the source of the problems with my PC

I am proud to finally tell y’all that I believe I have found a definite source of the problems I have been experiencing with my Windows PC over the past few days. It was because of a faulty Windows 10 preview update which was affecting the Windows 10 Recovery Environment. Luckily, I have found a trustworthy program (free of malware) which I could use to debug errors in my PC at any time, minor or major. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s happened when I tried to fix windows PC’s in the past. I am still taking  every precaution possible to further decrease the chance of my Windows PC breaking down or crashing. As a matter of fact, my PC almost crashed  this morning , but luckily, I was able to hard-restart the PC to get it working again by holding the power button down for 15-20 seconds. Luckily,  none of the problems I am experiencing with my PC right now are  anywhere close to what’s h...

THE OTIS IN ANAHEIM

Before writing this report, let me quickly give you some background on the lifts and escalators that I have seen during my time at DisneyLand in Anaheim, California with my family. Brief Overview While I was at DisneyLand in Anaheim, I have encountered four sets of very tall MontgomeryKONE escalators, a set of two very fast MontgomeryKONE traction units (partially outdoor as the first landing had a rear door that opened on the outside of the building), this OTIS hydro here that I managed to ride and film & another OTIS hydro that I didn’t get to ride nor film. These lifts, regardless, were still very awesome lifts, but for now, I will be going into a description of this amazing lift. What made this lift so amazing? This particular lift is so amazing because it’s a full-blown commercial hydraulic lift installed fully outdoors , which is rather unusual for an outdoor lift. This alone made it amazing. Upon first glance, it looks like a pretty standard lift that you would typical...
