Formal return - what's happening?

Name change

That's right, I am dropping my Technicalboy3000 pseudonym completely from:
  • Wiki page
  • Elefilm Album (which has been renamed to MagicalLift256 album).
  • EleFilm Blog (which has been renamed MagicalLift256 Journal).
  • Website (which will be launched on June 16. The old website will be eradicated and be replaced with a Q and A on the front page with a giant redirect link to the NEW WEBSITE).
  • Google+ Page and YouTube Channel
And I will now be MagicalLift256, as of TOMORROW MORNING, or by Tonight if i have family plans tomorrow which may prevent me from filming lifts in Hudson County, on every single service mentioned! During the week, I have begun the process of replacing my original Technicalboy3000 name with my new MagicalLift256 name on every service EXCEPT YouTube and Google+.

Total website redesign

I have moved away from Weebly & created an entirely new website using Wix ADI, an AI web designer to help me create my new website. It is a single-page website, with outside links found on the top right of the navigation bar in icon-form.

A new trailer & intro/outro for my YouTube Channel

To begin the second half of 2018 right, I will be introducing a new & intuitive trailer & intro/outro for my YouTube Channel. This means I will be using the same intro for every video I upload, including non-lift videos. I have created NEW MUSIC and will be unlike any music I have created in the past. You will know what will be in the trailers and intros/outros when I upload them to YouTube anytime before the weekend is out.

Additionally, I will try to get more urbex videos onto my second YouTube channel, which will be renamed UrbanHornrt256 later in the summer. I haven't done an urbex advent in 5/6 of a year & I am sorry.

Thank you for reading this blog post, and I will DEFINITELY  be returning BEFORE SUNDAY. That is a 100% promise, and I will not fall back, even if I have to make a return at 2300 due to me being busy (I do have plans to hopefully make Elizabeth a good fit for the Charlotte Kingdom this weekend anyway).

Why Schindler & KONE make the best traction lifts

Over the past 2 & a half years of filming lifts at different buildings all over the Eastern Seaboard, I have managed to film a handful of OTIS, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp & KONE traction lifts. Here is my assumption: Schindler & KONE make the best traction & MRL traction lifts of any of the 4 major lift brands. Of course, this could be based on personal bias, but it doesn’t go without knowledge that Schindler lifts, are in fact, more efficient time-based than let’s say, ThyssenKrupp lifts. Here are some things that I really love about Schindler & KONE traction lifts. Their fast acceleration / leveling It is no surprise that Schindler & KONE have some of the fastest average accelerating rates of any major lift brand. This is because Schindler & KONE have a perfect reference-tackle system, which is almost unbeatable by standards of other lift brands. One thing I have noticed when riding Schindler lifts is even at low speeds (200-400 FPM), you head feels like...

THE OTIS IN ANAHEIM

Before writing this report, let me quickly give you some background on the lifts and escalators that I have seen during my time at DisneyLand in Anaheim, California with my family. Brief Overview While I was at DisneyLand in Anaheim, I have encountered four sets of very tall MontgomeryKONE escalators, a set of two very fast MontgomeryKONE traction units (partially outdoor as the first landing had a rear door that opened on the outside of the building), this OTIS hydro here that I managed to ride and film & another OTIS hydro that I didn’t get to ride nor film. These lifts, regardless, were still very awesome lifts, but for now, I will be going into a description of this amazing lift. What made this lift so amazing? This particular lift is so amazing because it’s a full-blown commercial hydraulic lift installed fully outdoors , which is rather unusual for an outdoor lift. This alone made it amazing. Upon first glance, it looks like a pretty standard lift that you would typical...

Paramus Lift Galore: June 2022

Written on behalf of the Rising Salamander Academy Lift Galore Date: June 17 Lift Galore Time: 5:00 PM EST It's been a long time since I've last filmed lifts in person, a whole whopping half a year to be exact. I'm excited to be back, but not for long, since I have to finish up my time at Kean University & focus on graduating on time. But for the mean time, let's enjoy our summer recess, film the best lifts we can film & make the most of it! Westinghouse Lift Where: Macy's, Garden State Plaza Time Filmed: 10:10 AM (June 10) Grade: B+ Speed to Height Ratio: 8.1:1 (Fast) Landings Served: 3 The first lift of this lift galore is a 1950's Westinghouse lift which was later modernised by a generic company between the 1980's & early 2000's with EPCO Flushline fixtures on the outside, EPCO Circleline fixtures on the inside. This lift has a speed to height ratio of 8.1:1 which makes it fast for the application & number of landings. This lift is loc...
