Here is what to hope for when a PB trend looks bad

Introducing making verdicts with statistical algebra

Up there, you see the TEASER probability trend regarding our likelihood of going to LA, x weeks after the conception of the idea. The reason why I have chosen to use this data-informed graph was to model a sample of a dominantly negative trend.

My two sticklers of advice for you

It seems that any & every time ideas for trips to Charlotte-like cities were conceived, the PB trend charts seem to frequently convey the message that we're not going.
  • Don't fret! Just because the line between 1 point on the x-axis & the next appears to be going DOWN, that doesn't necessarily validate the statement "The trip is canceled". What happens is, updates on #FRIRND on Google+ will be up more frequently to keep you calm & to provide you with only the boldest specifics.
  • Look for new graphs on new blog posts about the conceived idea for a Charlotte-like city trip! These graphs are revised from the previous versions seen on earlier blog posts, by multiple factors, ranked from most effective to least effective:
    1. The CONTENT of our discussions
    2. The FREQUENCY of our discussions
    3. Signs of GENERAL POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE INTEREST of the idea of going on the trip to this Charlotte-like city
    4. Signs of direct correlation between the points of a specific area of the graph to the left

What to hope for

Really, when a PB trend appears to be dominantly negative over a generally longer period of time, this is the time to worry! When this happens, here are some things I will be doing to keep you guys up to date on the fly at all times:
  • Short, specific posts on #FRIRND on Google+
  • Blog posts popping up a little bit MORE frequently for the conceived idea on the EleFilm blog at random between the day of conception & the final verdict day
  • Updates to the upcoming event page on the main website
  • Video-style verdicts on YouTube if the lines facing downward appear to be alarmingly steep between three consecutive points on the graph

New methods of news-spreading

In addition to the upcoming event page of my main website, the #FRIRND hashtag on Google+, YouTube's #FRIRND hashtag & the EleFilm blog, during the week of December 17, we are launching a public forum called the EleFilm forum. It will contain MULTIPLE CATEGORIES & it will be accessible right from the EleFilm blog! This new forum should be finished & ready to air LIVE before the first day of the Cromwell trip. Once created, new ideas on how to use the forum as a possible alternative to writing really long blog posts will be discussed in new blog posts.

In addition to that, we will be posting a link to the forum on multiple places to encourage participation in the forum & the contribution of your ideas:
  • Button on the homepage of the main website
  • On the sidebar of the EleFilm blog
  • Google+ profile link
  • On my YouTube Channel's about page
  • On every new description of every default video upload to my YouTube Channel
The new forum might not work as intended, but we'll still use it when it is created, regardless of how effective or ineffective it is.

This is my way of keeping you as up-to-date on the EleFilm agenda as possible. I want you to have the most precise ideas of what lifts I might film & when.

Why Schindler & KONE make the best traction lifts

Over the past 2 & a half years of filming lifts at different buildings all over the Eastern Seaboard, I have managed to film a handful of OTIS, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp & KONE traction lifts. Here is my assumption: Schindler & KONE make the best traction & MRL traction lifts of any of the 4 major lift brands. Of course, this could be based on personal bias, but it doesn’t go without knowledge that Schindler lifts, are in fact, more efficient time-based than let’s say, ThyssenKrupp lifts. Here are some things that I really love about Schindler & KONE traction lifts. Their fast acceleration / leveling It is no surprise that Schindler & KONE have some of the fastest average accelerating rates of any major lift brand. This is because Schindler & KONE have a perfect reference-tackle system, which is almost unbeatable by standards of other lift brands. One thing I have noticed when riding Schindler lifts is even at low speeds (200-400 FPM), you head feels like...

THE OTIS IN ANAHEIM

Before writing this report, let me quickly give you some background on the lifts and escalators that I have seen during my time at DisneyLand in Anaheim, California with my family. Brief Overview While I was at DisneyLand in Anaheim, I have encountered four sets of very tall MontgomeryKONE escalators, a set of two very fast MontgomeryKONE traction units (partially outdoor as the first landing had a rear door that opened on the outside of the building), this OTIS hydro here that I managed to ride and film & another OTIS hydro that I didn’t get to ride nor film. These lifts, regardless, were still very awesome lifts, but for now, I will be going into a description of this amazing lift. What made this lift so amazing? This particular lift is so amazing because it’s a full-blown commercial hydraulic lift installed fully outdoors , which is rather unusual for an outdoor lift. This alone made it amazing. Upon first glance, it looks like a pretty standard lift that you would typical...
